For example, the extensive list of mystery shopping companies is thoughtfully arranged by state to help you find more work. Get Paid to Shop also includes a list of Internet resources and Canadian mystery shopping companies. For those who are considering starting a mystery shopping business, this book explains what is involved, details the benefits and responsibilities, and helps you decide if owning a mystery shopping business is right for you. Get Paid to Shop is full of well-organized information that is clearly presented. I recommend it.

Sure it's 122 pages..if you count the dozens of blank pages, title pages, pages they left blank for you to make notes, and of course the author bio page. gimme a break

I did some research on this topic using the internet, probably spending an hour. This book taught me no more than what I learned in that one hour of web surfing.

As the operator of a mystery shopping company, I find this book gives shoppers a good idea of what is expected of them and the type of qualities mystery shopping companies look for in shoppers. It also provides a good overview of the mystery shopping industry whether you are interested in being a shopper or operating a mystery shopping company.

I sent out lots of e-mails looking for work, but didn't get much results until I bought and read this book. I even called up the author and she gave me more tips. It's great to find everything you need to get started in one place--and it really worked for me. I think that's because she owns a successful mystery business and knows what they look for when they hire.

Judith Rappold's experience shows in this book introducing one to the world of mystery shopping. I picked it up and read it in one day and was pleased to go away with all of the information needed to get going in this up and coming industry. I appreciate the fact that she explores both worlds - that of the contract worker as well as the individual ready to open his or her own business. I personally found the book to give the reader a lot of important and yet exciting issues to think about! I think anyone considering mystery shopping should read a copy of this book! I will definitely keep mine handy as my top reference book!

GET PAID TO SHOP contains all the important information needed to become a professional mystery shopper. For potential, new, or even experienced shoppers, the book is a complete guide to the mystery shopping business. In an easy-to-read informative style the book describes all aspects of the industry from what it is...qualities required to be an effective shopper...specific responsibilities...and potential income. The sample reports are particularly useful in demonstrating expectations of work required. No one considering entering the mystery shopping field as a shopper or provider can afford to be without this book. As a mystery shopper provider, I will require all my new shoppers to read this book.

When I first began reading this book, I had extremely high hopes for the usefulness of it's content. In the end I was terribly disappointed. I found very little original information that I couldn't have found in a magazine article or my own common sense (and it would have been free). The information that it did possess was too vague, it would offer suggestions on what to do but not provide any examples on how to do it. I finished the book feeling that it was meant more as a sales pitch for the author's $599 publication rather that a really useful stand alone book.

I felt the content was right on target. This book gives people a great overview if they might be interested in starting their own business. It gives contract shoppers important information about their role in this industry with specific behavior noted. I think this is a good tool for shoppers.

This book is specific and realistic information delivered in a very "user friendly"manner that will be of great benefit to "mystery shoppers" and basically a must read for anyone in the industry. Well done!
