I first came across this book while looking for a text to use with beginning racing students. It is well suited for that use, presenting advanced sailing concepts in a clear and understandable manner. I discovered that this book is more than just a junior text. It is a great review for advanced students and adult racers. Concepts which you thought you understood, but couldn't explain to others are made clear. The diagrams are effective training aids and enhance the text.

Some of the graphics layout of the book is a little overpowering, making it a bit busy, but that does little to detract from the good points of this text.
