BOTH Rodney whitaker/BASS and Carl Allen/DRUMS give their best in GET READY supported by an excellent band . A SOULFUL JAZZ DISC with BLUES elements inside .GROOVY SMART AND PLEASANT WITH EXCELLENT COMPOSITIONS.

This is a must have CD. It has become one of my favorite and possibly n my top 25. I have been listening to jazz for more than 50 years and just love the variety of songs and sounds on this CD. Their versions of "Get Ready," "We Fall Down," and "Desperate Desire" make the CD worth owning. Allen and Whitaker have a winner!

One of the best recordings I have ever heard. Not just the music, but the quality of the recording is outstanding. This CD is in my top 5 of the hundreds that I own. A great find.
