1.0 out of 5 stars I do not get the hype
This album is not real "hip-hop" by no means. I can see why the airwaves if full of junk and hip hop is so polluted with fakers, and wannabes. I really do not care about if you got shot or sold drugs. Be real, be true, and come hard with the music. We need to get back to GangStarr, Outkast, Tribe, and real artists. This is a studio gangster effort and it shows...

5.0 out of 5 stars Get 50 Cent c.d.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, May 4, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Clean) (Audio CD)
I just got his first c.d. and it was so hott!!!

1. "Intro" is just nothin' and it's a gun sound while before you got to shoot.

2. "What Up Gangsta" is my favorite and it's hott beat and good lyric!

3. "Patiently Waiting" feat. Eminem is so good. I like when Eminem rap with 50 Cent and it feelin' me that they can make it so hott together when they rap.

4. "Many Men (Wish Death)" is ok to me. but it's good lyric. I like the lyric but the beat it ok to me so I just stil like it.

5. "In Da Club" is so hott. I got feelin' for that song. I like everything in that song!

6. "High All The Time" is ight. but I like the lyric so much. the lyric is so powerful feelin'. the beat is ok to me.

7. "Heat" is sound good to me. I have good times to listen to that. Also, it's kind nice tho too.

8. "If I Can't" is a little similar to "Heat" and "High All The Time" and it's like a mix of that. so I think it's sound good and kind of hott.

9. "Blood Hound" feat. Young Buck of G Unit is mad hott and I like it and it got everything that I like.

10. "Back Down" is so funny cause I like the beat and the lyric is mad funny cause it said a lot about Ja Rule. he said a lot bad and funny thing Ja Rule which he dissin'.

11. "P.I.M.P." is so cool. it's sound like 50 Cent rap so fast like Busta Rhymes. and it's hott yup I love it!

12. "Like My Style" fet. Tony Yayo of G Unit is cool to me but I don't listen to that much.

13. "Poor Lil' Rich" is kind ok to me but it's nice

14. "21 Questions" feat. Nate Dogg is my favorite songs!!! I always listen to that song and I have feelin' for that song!!!

15. "Don't Push Me" feat. Lloyd Banks of G Unit & Eminem is so hott and it's my favorite too. I always listen to that and I love it!

16. "Gotta Make It To Heaven" is almost same lyrics as Tupac and I think it's about Tupac cause he's like him too.

My 5 Favorite Songs of this c.d. is

1. "21 Questions" feat. Nate Dogg
2. "In Da Club"
3. "What Up Gangsta"
4. "Back Down"
5. "Patiently Waiting" feat. Eminem

I just love this CD, it has great beats and sound. I just wanted the CD so bad and now I finally have it. This is what I think about the songs:

1. Intro (skit): Where is the gunshot?

2. What Up Gangsta? (5/5): I always start off with this one

3. Patiently Waiting (5/5): One of my favorites because Em has a great verse.

4. Many Men (4/5): Good song, but you can barely hear it becuz of editing

5. In Da Club (5/5): The album's first single. Great beats

6. High All The Time (5/5): I love this song, has very nice beats

7. If I Can't (5/5): Great beats

8. Blood Hound (2/5): I don't listen to this one that much

9. Back Down (5/5): Awesome song.

10. P.I.M.P. (5/5): The album's third single. Great song.

11. Like My Style (5/5): Good song.

12. Poor Lil Rich (4/5): Good song.

13. 21 Questions (5/5): The album's second single. Great song

14. Don't Push Me (5/5): Another good song with Eminem

15. Gotta Make It To Heaven (5/5): I like the beats

16. Wanksta (5/5): 50's long time hit single since 2001. Good song

17. U Not Like Me (4/5): Good song.

18. Life's On The Line (4/5): Pretty good song. He sounds a little weird in it like it isn't 50 cent singing this song.

If you don't like rap music, don't write such upsetting reviews! It bothers me alot.

4.0 out of 5 stars G-UNIT!!, July 29, 2003
By
This review is from: Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Clean) (Audio CD)
I've been a 50 fan since he first dropped. Not last year but way back in '98 when he dropped How To Rob. I didn't forget about him when he got shot 9 times. I was just waiting for him to back stronger than ever, which he has. I'm not gonna front and say he is one of the best of all-time, cuz he's not. He's not one of the best lyrically either. But there's something about 50 that makes him such an entertaining rapper. He is clever and has potential to go down as a rapper everyone will remember. (example: "Shorty, I been watchin you watchin me/ Now you tell me what you like more, my watch or me" from 'U Not Like Me')

I've had this album before it dropped in February and it's still in rotation in my stereo. We've all heard Wanksta, In Da Club and 21 Questions by now but there's much more on this album to talk about. Personally, I feel the whole album is bangin except for two songs and the intro. Wanksta is real annoying now, but I guess I can listen to it sometimes still. Gotta Make It To Heaven is hot lyrically, but that beat really annoys the hell outta me.

I own every G-Unit song ever released (underground or mainstream) and I think 50 should have used G-Unit members Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks a little more. They really have potential to be big in this game. Lloyd Banks ripped it on Don't Push Me, and Eminem did too. What Up Gangsta is a song for all them cats on tyhe street to bump in their cars. Many Men and Heat are probably my favorite tracks on the CD. High All The Time is a good song to bump when your blazin a fatty. Back Down is a hot diss track to Ja Rule. The beef goes back quite a while, not just right before Ja dropped his latest flop. That's when Ja actually decided to open his mouth about 50, tryna promote his album cuz 50 was catchin fire in the streets at the time. If I Can't, Blood Hound and P.I.M.P. are real hot songs. Poor Lil Rich is a hot song with a pretty sick beat and even hotter lyrics. The bonus tracks are old songs 50 was supposed to release back in the day but didn't cuz he lost his deal after he got shot. These tracks (U Not Like Me & Life's On The Line)are straight fire. Not many people really knows that Life's On The Line is an older Ja Rule diss, going back to the days when Ja was tryna say he beat the sh*t outta 50 with a baseball bat.
Listen to the song, you can tell who it's about. Below is my track rating (1-5):

1. Intro -- Not rated since its like 7 seconds of a coin droppin
2. What Up Gangsta -- 5
3. Patiently Waiting (feat. Eminem) -- 4.5
4. Many Men (Wish Death) -- 5
5. In Da Club -- 4
6. High All the Time -- 4
7. Heat -- 5
8. If I Can't -- 5
9. Blood Hound (feat. Young Buck) -- 5
10. Back Down -- 4.5
11. P.I.M.P. -- 5
12. Like My Style (feat. Tony Yayo) -- 5
13. Poor Lil Rich -- 5
14. 21 Questions (feat. Nate Dogg) -- 4.5
15. Don't Push Me (feat. Lloyd Banks & Eminem) -- 5
16. Gotta Make It to Heaven -- 5
17. Wanksta -- 3
18. U Not Like Me --5
19. Life's On The Line -- 5

If you like the 'gangsta' songs on the album or U Not Like Me and/or Life's On The Line, peep 50's 'Guess Who's Back'. That's an album which is basically the greatest street hits of 50. It's also the album that Eminem heard and gained interest in 50. Then he decided to sign him and now Shady Records ALMOST gives Death Row a run for its money for the label with the most talent at one time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Too clean for 50..., March 10, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Clean) (Audio CD)
The songs are great except "Lifes' on tha line" where somebody else does the rapping instead of 50 (unless he just sounds that different). All the songs are great. The intro[s] are good. Only problem with this version is it is TOO clean. I mean, why should words like;gun, shot, blood, pop, and murder be edited? I would reccommend the derrty version, but he uses super strong language and unless u bought this so ur mom would think u had clean rap, then it's (the derrty version) is just too explicit.

5.0 out of 5 stars 50 Cent is awesome!, December 1, 2003
A Kid's Review
This review is from: Get Rich Or Die Tryin (Clean) (Audio CD)
If you love rap this CD is for you. What Up Gangsta, Patiently Waiting, Many Men, In Da Club, If I Can't, P.I.M.P, 21 Questions, and Wanksta all deserve 5 stars. The rest of the songs aren't that bad either. Even if you don't like rap try it out. I used to hate rap and when I heard 50 that changed. If you play sports this CD really will pump you up!
