spirit and soul,

Jessie Mae Hemphill is less active than she used to be, but still with the world and in poor economic circumstances, which is not what she deserves... This person grew up in the heartland of country blues, Northern Mississipi, and "puts down" the true feeling of her deep human roots. Her personality is her voice and her music, and she deserves to be heard like crazy. It has never been easy for a woman to be accepted as a great blues performer, guitarist, percussionist and incredible human being - but Jessie Mae is all of that and more. If we don't soon realize that this form of music is life itself and the gasoline on which we run we're done for. Let Jessie Mae into your heart because she IS your heart.

Raw Guitar Boogie; Soulful vocals, tamborine,hand claps,gutbucket raw spirituals on diddley bow;This is PURE RAW BOOGIE FROM THE SOUL! If you can't feel this record; go to Doctor Jesus and tell him your soul is missing and needs Saving!
