Excellent Single,

I really don't understand why everyone is hating on her so hard?
I have to say that even when I got tired of her "red carpet attitude", Jennifer still had excellent singles. I don't think anyone should expect Jennifer to be this earth-shattering singer...we have people such as Lisa Stansfield & Mariah Carey for that. But Jennifer can hold a tune & do it better than most in the business. That said, "Get Right" is a great return to form, without forsaking the hip-hop sass that she picked up along the way. From the confident beat to the punchy horn hook, this is probably going to be one of the hottest singles of 2005. I for one am impressed, so much so that is has renewed my interest in Jennifer's music. Not only will I be purchasing the album "Rebirth", but her subsequent albums as well. For pop...it doesn't get any better than this. Bravo Jennifer & welcome back. P.S.-The video is extremely well done!

remix is not a remix---just added rap,

Well, I saw the alternate video for Get Right featuring Fabolous, and the song is actually REMIXED. This is not the remix. this is the same version as the second version available on the full Rebirth album, with Fabolous rapping on the original mix. And every other mix on this single I already have--that was a nice waste of money.

Okay, the reason for 3 stars is that most of the remixes here are already released on previous singles. Quite old actually by now. I am sorry but if you have other singles from from her album "J.Lo", just get the two track single of this. This single includes remixes from "If You Had Me" and "Love Don't Cost A Thing". I wish they would release some new remixes to go with this fantastic song! DONT" GET ME WRONG! I Love "Get Right"!!!! But some new stuff would be nice at least a few "NEW" remixes. But it's okay if you don't have her older singles. This could go as a complimentary choice. It's up to you. But don't take my word just listen to it yourself first!

At first, the horns do a lot of creativity in this song. But when you listen to it, u will start groovin to the move. Bring It ON jennifer and good luck for Rebirth!

I'm feelin this joint!,

This is beginning of her new career to date. I don't care if ya'll luv her or not. But she's taking her lead into a new level now. Yes I was shocked about the reviews and it impress me so much. I mean ya'll gotta stop hatin this new material she got to date. This is her best work yet I only get her album just 1 shot but haven't bought it yet. It's still on my Wish List.
J.Lo don't care what people say you do what you have to do. I'm always be a fan to yours period. For all the naysayers and the haters that dis her or hate her new album "Rebirth", ya'll should go home. I know that Mariah has an album coming out this year and hopefully that'll be her best yet 'cuz the last time I disliked her album "Charmbracelet" which I didn't even care much about no more it's not showing her effort. I knew I was gon give up on her period. Long story short, here's sum questions for you to ask: 1. Do you think Jennifer Lopez is the best singer of the world? 2. Do you think she's bad? 3. Do you think she's takin' to the next level? 4. Why did some of her movies flopped the last time when she was between 2 or 3 failed marriages/breakup? 5. Who doesn't even care about her no more? That's my opinion. I need everybody to understand what's behind this girl and who she'd become. God bless her soul and spirit. And wish we should we stop w/ all the hatin' goin on.

Catchy Cut&the Same ole Same old,
This review is from: Get Right (Audio CD)
another example of J-LO having a halfway decent cut but due to Her Limited Vocal Range a Song Suffers in the big picture due to the fact.I dig the Sax&The Groove on this Cut. Her Voice is burried low in the Mix to cover the obvious.but the Song is catchy.

never did a song i hated the most change to a great one.....,
By
This review is from: Get Right (Audio CD)
jennifer lopez is not a great singer at all.... but she does not try to overpower her voice into what she cannot do... she has been in the music business for 6 years now she has 5 albums out and all of them went at least platinum+..... songs like "get right" help the sales go up...
i did not like the song at all in the beginning (like most folks they hated the song because of the horns, and i was one of them). but the horns are the key thing to the song... the repetitive sound just gets into your head and the horns overpower the song and you just cant get it out of your head.... the song is different from all the other songs on the radio... the last time horns were popular in a song was beyonce's 2003 hit "crazy in love" i dont like the remix as much as the original just because fabolous kind of makes the song kind of dreary... overall this song is great to listen to and get your hype on.... 4.1 stars out of 5: just because the song is different from everything else.... |
