About the Author
Danny Birch was brought up on the notorious Bransholme Estate, Hull, as one of five children. He started learning martial arts at the age of six and was a Black Belt by the age of fourteen. He now works in a law firm, producing a stream of highly-charged gangster thrillers in his spare time. 'Danny Birch is a Nick Hornby of the streets, managing to raise tears of laughter, anger and sadness, sometimes all in the same sentence, amid breath-taking displays of absolute human decency and of degrading, gut-churning violence.
