5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, Off the Charts
Origional, upbeat, catchy lyrics. Transition is a breath of fresh air. Their positive music, fun attitudes about life, and exceptional melodies are destined to top the charts this summer. If you are in to dark, depressing music and lyrics, this is not the band for you. But if you like life, and enjoy great, feel good, music you need to buy this cd.

3.0 out of 5 stars Got There
This is a very good album with some strong songs. If you like your pop punk and are ataris fans, i'm sure this will suit you.

This is a really good album. Strong melodies/good song writing. One of those rare modern rock bands out there with talent. My favorite tracks are "Exusable", "Air We Breathe", "Carolina", "Give and Take", and "Get There". I hope these guys get some recognition for their work because they deserve it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, not great., May 17, 2006
This review is from: Get There (Audio CD)
Transition deliver 11 tracks of catchy, paint-by-numbers punk pop on their debut release Get There on Floodgate Records. The album contains nothing you haven't heard a thousand times before but the music itself is well-executed. Imagine Bowling For Soup stripped of the 8th grade sense of humor but add in modern day "emo" pop sensibilities and you'd come close to their sound.

Lyrically, the group shows their just out of high school age with your basic, overdone pop-punk themes. Each track seems ready for MTV with pristine production provided by Mike Herrera of MXPX. All in all this isn't a terrible album, they are just swimming in a sea filled with similar bands and do little to stand out. They have big hooks and good sing-a-longs and if you enjoy that sort of thing this record is up your ally.

2.0 out of 5 stars Prefer the EP, May 12, 2006
This review is from: Get There (Audio CD)
'Get there', transition's second full length, isn't even as close to being as good as their last ep. On the EP, you could tell the band drew alot of inspiration from Relient K post-the anatomy of tounge and cheek, which made the songs faster, catchier and more pop-punk. This full length is actually closer to pop than pop-punk, and once again, mike herrera reminds me of why I don't like MxPx; his dull, mundane vocals on the especially bad track "winters". Basically, I blame mike and the recent popularity of [...] bands like "october fall" and "the click 5" for this upsettingly bad release. The whole record just feels so safe and commercial, like the all american rejects, but not quite as bad (to their credit). Fans of the EP should look elsewhere.
