5.0 out of 5 stars Great Introduction to Number Lines, December 13, 1998
By A Customer
The book chronicles the morning of a young girl, as seen through the eyes of her dog. The dog counts the minutes it takes this reluctant riser to get ready to go. On each page, there is a number line showing two activities and the number of minutes it takes. At the bottom of each page is a cumulative number line showing how long the girl has taken so far. Kids love counting the marks on the number lines!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and educational, July 21, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Get Up and Go! (MathStart 2) (Paperback)
My five-year-old loves this book. It basically reviews the activities of a girl preparing in the morning to go to school, marking off the number of minutes associated with each activity. It educates about the nature and measurement of time, and about the concept of addition as well. Immediately after being introduced to it, my little one wanted to sketch out her own pretend agenda of activities, complete with time-number lines, for both morning and evening. More fun than a typical educational book because of the physical and visual aspects of the timelines.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Children's Book, January 30, 2011
This review is from: Get Up and Go! (MathStart 2) (Paperback)
It arrived on time and was in good shape. It is a neat story that centers around a girl getting ready for school. She counts off the minutes it takes her to do each task. This is represented on a time line. It is a great learning tool for kids (math and reading skills are covered.)
