My Favorite Dash
Get You Some of Me came as a huge suprise. I hadn't heard anything out of the band since Tiger Town, their 5th record. I knew the band had been through a line-up change, but since I moved out of Louisiana, I hadn't been able to keep close tabs on their status.

pretty good for piecemeal
i discovered the world of dash rip rock during their tour for this release. i have not been the same man since. simply, the best live band ever. get you some of me is somewhat of a thrown together album of bits & pieces and it sounds like it. there is not much coherence or flow to the songs, and some of them are mighty weak (all day night, the wind in my face). the...

Get You Some of Me is most reminiscent of Dash's second album, Ace of Clubs, in that it features a variety types of music, all quintessentially DASHesq. There are a few songs with goofily ill-advised lyrics, but overall Get You Some of Me has become the record I go to first when I'm jones'n for some DASH. Where else can you get punk, country, blues, ragtime piano, and disco all in one package.
