This book is loaded with great advice for any business person, and especially business owners. The practical examples in this really help explain the concepts. It is easy to read and I found great, applicable ideas throughout the book.

My favorite chapter in the book is entitled, "Build People and Leadership Systems!" I had been struggling with trying to be a good leader in my company and this whole chapter mapped out important pieces of information I was missing. I recommend this book to any person who owns their business, or is even thinking about owning a business. I guarentee there is at least one chapter in this book you can benefit from, whether you're just starting out or you're been in business for 20 years!

Hedley provides invaluable advice based off of his own experience. He makes you figure out what you want from your business, then gives you a clear and systematic way to achieve it. The exercises and worksheets helped me start implementing changes in my company immediately. This is a must-read for any business owner!

I loved this book. As a business coach for SCORE-dot-org I am always checking out books that help the people wanting to start a business write a business plan, make their business plan or strategic plan better, or simply make their company work on auto-pilot so it can be sold. I found one such book on how to systematize a small business four years back in Instant Systems (Instant Success Series). I posted a positive review for it back then. Now, after finding and reading the instant book by Mr. Hedley, I have found a second book that spotlights the importance and method of systematizing the operations of your startup.

I highly recommend these two books on systematizing your startup so your life running your business will be as easy as possible, or so you can sell your small business for maximum profits. I also recommend this book (and the other) if you are in the midst of writing a business plan because the systems discussed should be considered and built into your business plan. 5 stars!
