It's Gavin you know. He's back with a new album titled "Sweeter" and it will be returning him back to his pop-rock roots. As much as I loved a lot of tracks on his last record "Free", it didn't seem all that catchy. I appreciated it for what it was though so I don't think it was a misstep by any means. However, as soon as I heard that "Sweeter" was gonna be more pop-rock based and have Gavin speaking more freely on love and sex, I was sure that I'd buy it. I have all of his albums and the only thing that disappoints me about this album so far, without even hearing it, is that it only contains 10 measly tracks. I mean come on. He's lucky we only had to wait a little over a year for this project. I hope that it doesn't sound rushed. His first single is decent enough.
What do you all think? Got any information on the album? Wikipedia tells us nothing we don't already know. Oh yeah. And I'm a little weary if Ryan Tedder truly is producing most (or all) of these 10 tracks. His production is too heavy handed with the same drum work and same-sounding. But it's Gavin so we'll just have to see!
Good to hear, Patrick. But more people need to be reviewing/listening to this album. It's fantastic. I'm getting mine in the mail hopefully today, but I couldn't wait so I downloaded the album here for 3.99.
