Product Description

We are happy to invite you to a game that might remind you of the good old Foosball on springs. Fortunately you don’t even need a metal playing field anymore – only the screen of your mobile phone or your tablet.
Remember that in Get the Egg you don’t need to play alone but you can challenge one of your mates to a one on one game to the bitter end or simply a friendly game – all on the screen of one device.

As it seems not all penguins are nice and come from Madagascar. Some of them live at a certain farm and their favorite thing to do is playing tricks on their distant cousins the chickens. However, just as them, their opponents aren't typical domestic birds and won’t bury their heads in the sand. After another prank, in which the penguins stole the golden egg of the chickens, a confrontation cannot be avoided. Both teams meet on the packed earth (but not only) of the football ground to decide once and for all who the Top birds are, and who has to start looking for a new hen-house …

To make it even more interesting we placed mysterious boxes on the playing field that contain … you have to find out by yourself !

* - A pretty cool version of foosball, we would definitely recommend this game as it will keep you entertained for a long time.

* Mason O Brien: Good i like it. Pretty good.

* Blaze Brown: Good game +graphics.

1.0 out of 5 stars Soo excited to see foosball, and then I played it April 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
I really like foosball and was excited to see a foosball game as the FAotD. I quickly downloaded it, but then had trouble getting the ball to move as I had directed it. I went to calibrate my HD Fire, and all that happened is I got a message to "Wait." I did, but it didn't do anything other than make the Fire hang.

So, I rebooted the Fire and tried again. Still the penguins and chickens (opposing teams for the game)do not move as you click/slide them. The ball may go the way you intend, but, if it does, it may be more of an accident.
Unfortunately, the game does not play as it should.

I decided to try playing with my husband. There is just simply not a well designed game for playing on a tablet - even a larger one. We gave up on it fast.

A tablet is not really a proper place for a two player game where both players need to tap the screen together. It would be a much better game simply as the player v computer. However, that does not really work, either, since the response of the game is greatly lacking. If the developer can get this fixed, though, there is great potential.

2.0 out of 5 stars Poor execution on a good idea April 22, 2013
Verified Purchase
First off I love Foosball and I love penguins. So it would come to be expected I would rate this 5 out of 5 stars. Yeah that's what I thought also but not going to happen the game play is slow and the music is quite annoying I also find myself wishing I hadn't downloaded it. The controls on this game are ridiculously uncomfortable. So it gets 2 out of 5 stars from me because it was a good idea just poorly executed.

Good basic graphics
You can turn off the music in settings

Game play is annoying and harder then it should be.
Multi-player version is slow and hard to play as you have players on both sides of match and fingers get interlocked.
Music is pretty bad

What do you know another amazon download of the day that's a waste of memory. Don't waste your time with this game I really don't get how anyone thinks this app is worth paying for. And now I delete it from my kindle

(Galaxy Note 2)
I played for about 10min before the ball was hit out and the AI would not play the ball. Also, I attempted to calibrate and the app froze on the "wait" screen.

1.0 out of 5 stars Um April 23, 2013

I am not going to make this a long drawn out review. I wasn't given enough time to do that. I did play the game for a few minutes, with unrefined controls and just too complex for a platform like a touch screen mobile device. What shortened my playing time, thus, giving it it's one star rating was when I chose to calibrate my device. I waited and waited then waited some more but "wait" wouldn't clear off my screen. It was stuck in calibration mode. Dev, you need to fix this before I attempt this game again. That and the controls. Also, maybe make it clear how to adjust the camera angle. Give it a try. You may have better luck with it but my impression is; It just isn't quite ready for prime time.

1.0 out of 5 stars Made my "remove from cloud" list April 23, 2013

Game play is terrible. Music isn't bad. I didn't see how they could do foosball on android, and I still don't see how they could. This is nothing like foosball. The ONLY similarity is that the game pieces are set up in foosball pattern. You can't move any of the pieces, you can't control the power behind the ball very well. It is way too easy to knock the ball out of bounds.

1.0 out of 5 stars little control April 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
I tried this despite the other reviews and I agree this is not a good game . The controls are pretty bad and the ball seems to stick to the characters. I wanted to like this game but it will be deleted . I can't think of anyone that would like this game because it just doesn't play.

1.0 out of 5 stars Uncontrollable. How does this thing rate a 2?! April 23, 2013
By Myself

The Concept Could Have Had Potential. The Execution Failed So Badly That I Hate To Insult The Weird Miserably. Control Is Slow, Clunky, Obscured, And Inaccurate. Individual Pieces Are Captured, Require Long Draw Bow Style Aiming, And Miss The Ball By The Time It Has Passed. This Turns A Quick And Fun Game Of Foosball Into A Long Drawn Out Prayer Session Of "Please Let This Actually Hit The Ball And Them Not Return A Slow Motion Lucky Score."

Seriously, Control Isn't That Hard To Implement Usably. Horizontal Swype Should Grab The RoA, Vehicle Swype Should Then Soon The Row. Grabbing, Aiming, And Setting The Power Of And Individual, And Extremely Limited Range Piece Is Beyond Retarded.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not Like Foosball At Your Local YMCA April 23, 2013
Verified Purchase
Today's free app of the day is Get the Egg: Foosball PRO.

Let me start off with the positives:

1. A new app developer that hasn't had a free app of the day before.
2. The game is playable.
3. Can be played as a 1 or 2 player game.
4. Game is not overpriced at 99 cents.
5. Game does have the ability to play with multiple balls at the same time through power-up boxes.

Now the negatives:

1. This is not as fun as a real Foosball table game like you would find at your local YMCA.
2. Game becomes somewhat repetitive and boring after just a short period of time.
3. Game's storyline seems to have little relevance to the game of Foosball.
4. Gift box option in menu is not explained so I have no idea what that is for.
5. No way to select an easy or difficult computer opponent.

Unfortunately, the negatives for me outweigh the positives. I felt the computer opponent to be frustrating to play against at times since it seemed to wait a little while before moving the ball. In one game I played the computer goalie opponent seemed to be frozen in one place making it much easier to score in that particular game.

Mainly because of the rather quick loss of interest in playing this game and the lack of a skill setting for the computer opponent, I am giving this game app a 2 star out of 5 star rating.
