Eric Pete is an award winning novelist. His published works include: Real for Me, Someone's In the Kitchen, Gets No Love, the national bestseller Don't Get It Twisted, Lady Sings the Cruels, Blow Your Mind, Sticks and Stones, Reality Check, Crushed Ice and Piano In the Dark. He has also contributed to the anthologies After Hours, Twilight Moods and On The Line. Born in Seattle where he developed his passion for reading and knowledge, he relocated "back home" with his mother to Louisiana where he attended high school and college.

A graduate of McNeese State University, he currently lives with his family in Texas where he is working on his next novel.

One of the things that struck me about Gets No Love is its portrayal of strong black love. The title, notwithstanding, love is demonstrated throughout this fast-paced pageturner at varying degrees. All too often we hear about black men walking all over their women. Rarely does one find a story written about a black man who, in spite of past mistakes, recognizes the value of having love in his life, at any cost. Eric demonstrates with intense realism, the true meaning of friendship in his portrayal of the relationship between Lance and AK; men who love each other like brothers. Lance is also a man's man, who will do what must be done to be with the love of his life, Valerie. Seems like such a simple concept, yet Eric weaves a tale that brings the past head-on with the present, sometimes violently so. Gets No Love is not without action, humor, drama, and eroticism, all the things we've come to love and expect from the talented Mr. Pete. However, it is quite refreshing to see through all of that and get to the heart of the matter: love can conquer all and Eric gets a lot of love for this one. A fabulous read!

Eric Pete keeps it movin' and entertaining with this steamy tale of sex, friendship and romance and the complicated ways they can intersect. Whether drawing you in with spice or drama, he keeps your turning the pages with with crisp dialogue and interesting characters, "Gets No Love" will keep you warm this winter.

This is the most boring book he has written.The best part about this book was litteraly the end. It sucked all the way through. It lost my attention .
