OK but we like Popular Mechanics for Kids series better,

This series may be better for the classroom or homeschool. We bought the Getting Ahead series for Christmas 2009 because we love the Popular Mechanics for Kids series and were hoping this was similar and I guess it is but not as engaging as the Popular Mechanics for Kids series. They are produced in the UK so the accents and vocabulary are hard to follow at times. If you are looking for fun educational videos for outside the classroom, I would recommend going with the Popular Mechanics for Kids series instead. My son is now 8 and has watched the PMK DVDs repeatedly over the past 4 years but I don't think he's going to be as likely to watch these Getting Ahead DVDs over and over cause they get boring real quick. If you do go with the Getting Ahead Series, price shop because you can find it cheaper or buy it used.
