Roger Grant to provide the reader with an adventurous and informative historical survey of the evolution of various transit venues, ranging from natural waterways and roads, to canals, railroads, aviation, and more. Black-and-white photographs nicely illustrate this detailed and thoughtful chronology encompassing landmark inventions, famous personalities, and tragic accidents down through the centuries.
