5.0 out of 5 stars This games getting up, March 11, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Marc Ecko's Getting Up Contents Under Pressure Limited Edition (Video Game)
Marc Ecko took 8 years to make this game, he wanted it to be true to the graffiti world, in which it is. The game flows perfectly from writeing graffiti on the walls to bashing in peoples faces. The storyline it self has a very indy vibe to it which makes it even better. The game is simple enough that even if your not into graffiti that you can still play it and enjoy the game very much, and you will even learn a few graffiti ledgends such as Cope2 or JA. This is a must have game

5.0 out of 5 stars A bit dissapointing in some aspects, February 20, 2006

First off I'll address the contents of the Limited Edition package, you get a nice Getting Up tin case, of course the game, the Hybrid Disc feat. videos/films: a collection of short films on the history of graf writing and the disc also includes a music CD produced by Mark Ecko and Puffy. I haven't listened to it yet but it looks like it's the same stuff that plays on the game and the music is pretty good in this game too. if you dig underground hip hop you'll definitley hear something you'll like as far as the music. The game is entirely scored by Rjd2 and the RZA and they do a great job elevating the dark mood of this game. Anyways back to the items this thing includes, you also get a Getting Up silver Sharpie marker, and a Mark Ecko blackbook with extra content on the game and several empty pages to fill up with your own ish. Okay, for the extra ten bucks I paid for this edition I felt I got my $'s worth, but thats's just me. As for the game, well it was really dissapointing to me in the begining but it seems to be getting better, I think if I wasn't into graffiti and tried this game I'd hate it cause the main objectives I've played so far are all nearly identical, and the fun factor is on the low side throughout most of this game. The graphics are pretty dope for the mostpart, but every now and then certain things pop up that look cheap and ugly like the cars for instance, they look boxy and similar to something better suited for a game on Nintendo 64. The way you come up as a graf artist is cool though, you start off with a few decent throw ups, peices or whatever but as you progress and up your ranking the peices you can choose from become more complex and and colorful. The graffiti is top notch throughout, and since they have so many top graf writers appearing in Getting Up I'd suspect they had a lot to contribute to the artwork you see in this game. So basicly, if you dig graffiti, and can see past doing a lot of similar missions over and over, this would be a good buy, other wise I'd recomend just renting this or getting the regular edition.

5.0 out of 5 stars Grafiti for the Revolution of New Radius, March 31, 2006
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Marc Ecko's Getting Up Contents Under Pressure Limited Edition (Video Game)
I had been waiting forever for this game. Obviously i had to get the special limited editiion. I liked all the collectible items such as the Development black book, the silver sharpie and the music cd. The game was really awesome, i liked the way you can switch the outlines and graff you do, and how you can change the colors of the graff you decide to put up in the in-game black book. Another cool part is that a lot of famous grafiti artists and rap artists that helped out in this game. Overall this game really reminded me of myself and made me want to go out and paint! It is also almost like an urban spider man with all the acrobatic moves and fighting you can do.
