5.0 out of 5 stars Cute book, April 18, 2006
This was a cute book. There is a zipper, snap and button that your child can manipulate. The story is simple but there is a lot of action on each page so there is room for discussion. My daughter really likes this book. It is rather large so keep that in mind.

3.0 out of 5 stars Only OK book for your little Little People Fan, May 17, 2006
My nearly 2 yr old daughter loves Little People, particularly a set of 12 small farm-themed books she received at age 1 and the farm, zoo, and house playsets. This book features familiar faces, but doesn't offer a whole lot otherwise. It is very large and somewhat cumbersome for her to hold/carry. It also doesn't fit very well on our bookshelves. She likes the button, snap and zip on the front page, but there is not much else to do inside other than put Freddie the frog in various pockets, which are all too small or snug for him to fit smoothly with little hands. She finds this frustrating and the book has been ripped around the edges of these pockets from her efforts. There is a lot going on in each page - they are basically showing clothes and activities by season, as well as the characters getting ready for school and ready for bed. My daugther does like identifying items on the pages (shoes, toothbrush, hat) and it does reinforce basic vocabulary skills, but that is about it. I am a little disappointed as we have really enjoyed almost all the other LP items. Not bad, but not great.

3.0 out of 5 stars Pretty lame, April 30, 2006

Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I was looking for a board book that had lots of things for little hands to manipulate or feel (zippers, buttons, snaps, bows, elastic, fabrics) in lieu of a Dressy Bessy or Dapper Dan doll, which have been taken off the market. This is poor substitute. Although this book has a button, snap and zipper, they are all on the cover, obviating the need to even open the book. The rest of the pages are a jumbled busy mess of drawings of kids, with their clothing labeled and a simple rhyming story to go along with the drawings.
