This is an amazing DVD, I'm a huge fan of Gilad's Body in Motion program since I was a teenager, and I `m so happy that they are now available in the DVD format, it makes everything so easy. This DVD includes: a general warm-up, toning exercises (and believe me they really tone your body, especially the arms and legs), Aerobics (with low and high impact moves), floor work (hips, abs, thighs and buns) and finally the cool down. I really like to sweat a lot and feel the burn and I get it doing this exercises. I recommend this DVD.

A great but slightly unusual workout,

I'm a fan of Gilad's workout tapes, but this workout is a bit of a departure from his Hawaii-based tv show. First of all, it takes place in Jerusalem (Gilad is originally from Israel) and the aerobics is choreographed to a live Israeli band. There are some cheesy elements to add "character" to the scene like a man on a camel and a pretty Israeli girl dancing traditional dances while Gilad is doing his routine. If you don't mind that, overall, it's a strong cardio, high-impact workout composed of relatively uncomplicated moves and a substantial amount of abdominal toning. One of the highlights of Gilad's style is that he makes his show a family affair --- the older woman working out behind him and keeping up quite well with Gilad is his mother. You can see him asking her when she accidently dances in the wrong direction, "Mommy! Where are you going?!"

Great Workout!,

Love this DVD. The aerobics segment lasts 25 min, and is both high and low impact. The abs segment is GREAT! Makes mine feel the burn everytime.

This program is great if your new to working out or just haven't done so in awhile. I discovered Gilad on television a few years ago on his daily workout show (I think on Discovery channel)and he aided me in losing 30lbs. The dvd is easy to follow without being boring. It is especially great for men who are not really into frilly dancy workout steps. Each movement is done with a purpose and you don't need to be a trained performer to catch on. Its great music and high energy. Gilad and his crew do several wardrobe changes and the scenary is gorgeous. Definitely worth having if your ready to start a daily workout routine but don't know how.

A great overall workout! Have fun!,

At first I thought the footwork would be a challenge (since I'm not the most graceful or coordinated!), but I found the steps to be easy to catch on to. And once I got moving, I was working up a sweat and having fun! And Gilad is such an encouraging and entertaining trainer! This workout provides cardio, strength and toning, and core training- a great mix, a great overall workout! Highly recommended!

Good to see a landscape to work out to that's a little different than the norm. Nice DVD.

I'm so excited to find these dvds!!! I'm a relatively healthy 40 y/o, who used to tape Bodies in Motion w/Gilad and use those tapes for part of my weekly workout. I was disappointed when it got cancelled. I decided to buy a few of his dvds and was so happy to see that these workouts are several of the episodes all put together. They are set in Jeruselum, atop a building, with funky/poppish persian live music. There are also some interesting characters on the periphery, like a persian dancer and a guy sitting on a camel. He is so great at compiling a complete, functional workout without high, damaging impact. You really get the heart-rate up, but can keep it at a lower level if you so choose. I actually suffer from back problems, and his workout is smooth enough for me to do without straining or hurting myself, but is definately great for any healthy person. He's interesting and changes things up so you don't get bored. If you're looking for someone who is trendy and hip, this isn't the one for you as he's a bit reminiscent of the 70's, but he's fun, knowledgeable and gets you moving. Your body will feel it for days (in a good way)!!

I started my habit of working out about 18 years ago, when I was about 13...with Gilad. Then over the years, did other stuff. I have recently been searching for a good workout dvd. While the new ones of today make me feel good and fit no doubt, they have added unwanted bulk on my legs. (that I hate) So I decided to go back to the good old tried and true aerobics. This dvd is so much fun. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun working out. It doesn't feel like a chore. And as for the cheesiness, thats Gilad. He's so cool he can be cheesy. And some of the moves are older moves but I don't care what it takes, I am not trying to impress anyone with my workout, I just want a good end result. This is an excellent dvd. I also like the music on this one.

I have all of Gilad's classic collection. Some dvd's he will focus on one workout far more than the other ones, such as a long high impact aerobic segment and a weak abs segment. I usually like the long ones since I get a full body workout. This one seems a bit rushed for some reason, the aerobics is so rushed he had to keep getting onto his mom about catching up. He short changes you on the floorwork especially the thighs. I have to say the abs is one of the best routines he has out there today, its very long and intense, no breaks. The cool down was about thirty seconds the shortest I have ever seen Gilad do. All in all the ab routine is worth the purchase. The best classic dvd and frankly the best dvd he has out there is the 45/45 split routine.

Gilads best!,

I love this workout - I have many of Gilads and the aerobic section, which lasts about 25 minutes, in this one is my favorite because it's so much fun. It is obvious he is having a really good time and loves being back 'home'. His cueing is more relaxed, the routines aren't quite as regimented as his others and the atmosphere is just so enjoyable and entertaining with the camel being superimposed in places, the Desert Man, coffee man, the dancer and Gilad teasing his mom, Ora. The live band is excellent. I'm not very familiar with this type of ethnic music but I thoroughly enjoyed it and it really gets me psyched up. The routines themselves are typical Gilad, easy to follow, a little high impact, alot of low impact but always enthusiastic and sweaty. I'd consider this workout intermediate, it's not difficult to follow if a person has done any aerobics at all, and like Gil says, if you get confused or too much out of breath, just walk in place - or make your movements smaller. But most people who are regular exercisers will have lots of fun doing it. The floor work is basic and typical Gilad with lots of ab work, some legs and buns. The setting is beautiful with the Dead Sea in the background and the old city of Jerusalem. All in all, it's deserving of all 5 stars.
