It's alright, May 2, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Getting Hitched Without a Hitch: How to Plan your Dream Wedding in the Real World (Paperback)
This book is alright. It gives a good overview of almost all aspects of the process and it makes the reader feel comfortable with the wedding process. Unfortunately, it lacks in two areas. First, there are not enough details in certain areas; if you are planning on using this book, I would supplement it with another book. Second, the author takes a very harsh attitude towards grooms (me). Statements like, 'Your bridesmaids will have to dance with all your grooms loser friends' and 'Your husband will be useless in all aspects of planning' abound. It gets very annoying if you are male or i imagine if your groom and his friends do not fit that description. Overall I would recommend the book much more if you can stand these remarks.

The best guide I found for planning a wedding, May 9, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: Getting Hitched Without a Hitch: How to Plan your Dream Wedding in the Real World (Paperback)
This book took the stress out of planning our wedding, and put some fun into the process. It should be required reading for any couples in the process of getting married. It will result in many more marriages getting off to a good start and may even help lower the divorce rate!

a must read for the bride to be, May 7, 1999

I'm planning a wedding and am totally stressed out. This helped me and gave me a few laughs, which is the most important part. It's a great engagement gift for anyone looking for an overview and some perspective on the whole wedding business.

Men Bashing, October 10, 2003
By A Customer
This review is from: Getting Hitched Without a Hitch: How to Plan your Dream Wedding in the Real World (Paperback)
This book is borderline men-bashing with comments like: it's not the groom's wedding-it's the brides. In my relationship with my fiancee it is OUR wedding. Maybe if more women thought in terms of equality the divorce rate would be lower. I found absolutly no help in this book and couldn't believe the author was even married.

Best of all time, March 10, 2000

Forget "War and Peace"! This is the most insightful book I have ever read on the subject. One has to wonder how many times Ms. Eichner has gotten "hitched" to have become such an expert. Begin reading and you will become helplessly "hitched" to this wonderfully informative and entertaining book.
