The most important reason to buy and use FAMILY ORIGINS genealogy software and this book is that is the best on the market. Most important, when you buy FAMILY ORIGINS software and the book you will spend much less thanmost other programs, including Family Tree Maker, Master Genealogist and others. Secondly, FAMILY ORIGINS does not have a "secret agent" sub-program contained within. Family Tree Maker does include a "secret agent" sub-program with its software. Thirdly, with FAMILY ORIGINS you have the ability to create your own forms and reports. Additionally, FAMILY ORIGINS has a note field with every fact type. Family Tree Maker does NOT include this feature and they only have one note field where you must co-mingle all of your information. Lastly, Bruce Buzbee, the author and owner of FAMILY ORIGINS accepts all feedback from the users of the program. As a professional genealogy author, writer and researcher, FAMILY ORIGINS is the only genealogy software and book I recommend!
