Book Description

June 2004
United States Savings Bonds are among the most widely held - and most misunderstood - financial instruments in the world. Over 55 million people own U.S. Savings Bonds, but most don't know what their bonds are worth, what they are earning, or when they will stop earning. This book will give the reader a good basic understanding of all forms of U.S. Savings Bonds, and help avoid common mistakes that cost bondowners millions of dollars annually.

This review is from: Getting the Most Out of Your Savings Bonds (Paperback)
Whether you're getting started in savings bonds or have owned some for years, this book is good for general overview of the history and nature of bonds, and provides a list of the sources from which people can get much needed charts. I find this book great for review aswell.
The author explains the technical terms and then retells them in parenthesis as he uses them (e.g. Some bonds . . . guaranteed for the oringinal maturity period (until the bond reaches face value.)). I find this very helful.
I recommend this book for those who want to know about their bonds or who are thinking about investing in savings bonds.
