This review is from: Getting On My Mind (Audio CD)
Woa. I'm always looking for a new band to melt my brain with, and these guys are the ticket. They've got a pretty unique sound, hard to classify exactly, I'd call it something like "Electro Funk Synth Dance Rock". Songs are structured kind of like electro house music with plenty of repetition, awesome beats, and cool transitions, but there is more to it than just the dumb thumping away; there are some good lyrics and nice tunes as well.

I bought the CD based on somebody sending me a link to their video of "A Giant Tortoise" on YouTube, and I don't regret it. There's quite a few good songs on here; tracks 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 are all great. Track 1 is also great, but a jarring few bars of noise of what sounds like synthetic trumpets or kazoos trying to play the mortal kombat theme kinda killed that track for me.

Anyhow, these guys are awesome and I hope they continue to make more music. Don't let the weirdly androgynous cover art freak you out too much.
