This review is from: Getting Off the Pain Roller Coaster: Psychological Aspects of Pain and Pain Management (Paperback)
This book is set up in an easy to read workbook format and covers a variety of subjects:1. The grief cycle and setting new goals. 2. A great explaination of the physical aspects of chronic pain. 3. Communicating with doctors and not falling into traps and the games doctors can play so you can become partners working together and not adversaries and I found this especially helpful. 4. Taking charge and listening to our bodies to control pain. 5. Help for taking charge of our emotions. 6. Pain Behaviors and how to avoid them. 7. Relaxation techniques and changing the way we think of our pain. 8. Relationships and sex. 9. Finding meaning in life again. 10. Facing Relapses Overall an informative book |
