You can transform emotional pain, depression, shame, and conflict into empowering connections. Rosenberg shares that behind all emotional pain are unmet needs. He provides simple steps to create the heartfelt presence necessary for healing to occur. Learn how to transform your relationships, find satisfying reconciliation, and move beyond pain to a place of clear, honest communication.

Through role-play dialogues and every-day examples, Rosenberg demonstrates the keys to healing pain and conflict without compromise. The healing power of NVC provides practical and effective tools for individuals, mental health practitioners, mediators, families and couples.

2.0 out of 5 stars I wish it was written better because it has GREAT concepts!, January 4, 2007
This review is from: Getting Past the Pain Between Us: Healing and Reconciliation Without Compromise (Nonviolent Communication Guides) (Paperback)
I absolutely love the title and idea of this book. I believe the concepts the author is trying to get across would be very helpful, too - if only I could read the darn thing. The format of this and his other book "Being Me, Loving You" is simply a description of what is happening on stage at one of his seminars and his dialogue with audience members. I find it very confusing. I've tried a handful of times to pick out what he's trying to say, but I'm finally donating this book to the library, where hopefully somebody else will find it more suiting to their needs than mine. I am still interested enough in the concept of NVC that I'm going to look for other books on the subject and maybe give his other book a try, if it' written in a different format. These two books, however, were a huge disappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book to Read with or without a psychiatrist, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Getting Past the Pain Between Us: Healing and Reconciliation Without Compromise (Nonviolent Communication Guides) (Paperback)
This book helped me to deal with betrayal and abuse I suffered by the actions of family members and friends. It helped me to understand the path that was ahead of me for healing and helped to relieve me from blame, guilt and pain. I would recommend this book for anyone who wants to get past the pain of offenses. I follow the teachings of Jesus Christ but I was unable to afford some of the Christian books. I am glad I found this book through Amazon I would recommend it to Christians, Muslims, Buddhist, etc...
Thank you Amazon and Thank you to Dr. Rosenburg

This is not a book it is a pamphlet and it is the same almost word for word as all the other pamphlet that this author puts out.
