This review is from: Getting Into the PA School of Your Choice (Paperback)
I firmly this believe this book was responsible for my getting accepted in to my PA program. This book gives you an insider's point of view into the admissions process. Find out what the programs are looking for and why. Buy this book and give yourself an edge over the competition.

As a re-applicant I know most of this info. but for someone just beggining the process of trying to get into PA school then this is the only book for you (actually it is the only book on the subject out there). The interview stuff really helps but the essays are too long as CASPA only allows one to have a 500 word limit and Rodican's examples are unrealistic for this applicaiton format.

THE book to get into PA School!,

This review is from: Getting Into the PA School of Your Choice (Paperback)
This is THE book you need to get into the PA school of your choice. My choice was the Stanford University Primary Care Associate Program (PCAP). I read this book, followed it's recommendations, read it again/used it as a reference, applied to one program, and was accepted... to the school of MY choice. If you have determined that a career in medicine as a PA is what you want to do, get this book, use it, and get into the school of YOUR choice!

I absolutely recommend this book without any reservations. Reading this book prior to the application process was a great help in regards to preparing my personal statement & interviews. The author offers great advice & presents it in an organized fashion. Great advice is offered here, so if the PA profession is in your future, read this book!

This book is an excellent resource for those applying to (or considering) PA programs. As an academic advisor, I will recommend this purchase to all of my students. After visiting with recruiters for PA programs, I find that Rodican's book provides the reader with all of the general information he or she needs to apply (history of the profession, how to interview, what to do if you don't get accepted, etc.). The book is written with a positive slant but is very realistic in describing what will be expected in the program and the profession. A must read for any interested student and very affordable!!!

This book really helped me prepare for PA school. It gives eveything you need to know, from sample questions, to CASPA, to writing an essay and getting letters of recommendation. Some of the material in the book may be things I had already known, but if you get it just for the sample interview questions, it's well worth it. This was my first "real" interview coming straight from undergrad, so the thought of not getting in made me search for help- and so I found Rodican's book. If you seriously want to get into PA school and be a PA, seriously get this book!

Very helpful guide.,
This review is from: Getting Into the Physician Assistant School of Your Choice (Paperback)
I found this book very helpful. It started by going through the PA profession, and then got into how to actually go about making this a career. It explains each step of the application process, and gives very helpful tips. Overall, this was a great book. I would highly recommend it for anyone considering entering the PA profession.

I found this book to be very helpful for many aspects of the PA program application process. I found the essay section to be very helpful, and read and re-read the interview section. I got into Duke's program, the #1 school in the nation, and I know that this book helped me to fulfill that goal. Thanks!

This book helped me in preparation for the written and interview portion for PA school. 90% of the questions asked during my interview is covered in this book. They mention the Do's and Don'ts for interview preparation. I highly recommend this book for any student who is serious about the PA profession. THANKS Rodican.....
