And where better to turn for answers than those who have gone before--experts in the areas of marriage, relationships, and finance who know from experience what it takes to make the days leading up to the wedding (and the years that follow) an overwhelming success! Getting Ready for the Wedding supplies practical, expert advice on ten important topics from such well-known authorities as David and Claudia Arp, Dave & Jan Stoop, Ron Blue, H. Norman Wright, and Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. Here at last are the insights couples need most into such issues as . . .

What to Do With Wedding Jitters (Robert & Rosemary Barnes)

How to Have a Great Wedding Night (Cliff & Joyce Penner)

Getting Married When Your Parents Don't Approve (John Trent)

For Those Getting Married Again (Thom Whiteman)

After the Honeymoon (Les & Leslie Parrott) . . . and more. This frank, easy-to-read book gives advice that no wedding consultant can offer. 2.0 out of 5 stars too old-fashioned for my taste, January 14, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Getting Ready for the Wedding (Paperback)
This book is too old-fashioned for the modern bride and groom. They assume that the bride's parents are footing the bill for the wedding and are actively involved in the planning of the wedding. This is simply not the case for anyone I know that's recently been married. Also, an entire chapter devoted to abstinence before marriage seems unnecessary. I would recommend Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts and The Five Love Languages for premarital purposes. After the wedding, buy There's A Spouse In My House- a humorous and thought-provoking book about newlywed life.

This book is very good. I would recommend it for engaged couples...
some of the chapters are not worth the price of printing it but most of the chapters provide practical and godly information....
