too old-fashioned for my taste,

This review is from: Getting Ready for the Wedding (Paperback)
This book is too old-fashioned for the modern bride and groom. They assume that the bride's parents are footing the bill for the wedding and are actively involved in the planning of the wedding. This is simply not the case for anyone I know that's recently been married. Also, an entire chapter devoted to abstinence before marriage seems unnecessary. I would recommend Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts and The Five Love Languages for premarital purposes. After the wedding, buy There's A Spouse In My House- a humorous and thought-provoking book about newlywed life.

Most not all,
This review is from: Getting Ready for the Wedding (Paperback)
This book is very good. I would recommend it for engaged couples...some of the chapters are not worth the price of printing it but most of the chapters provide practical and godly information.... |
