I have been reading this book with my 13 year old son. He has reading challenges so I try to find books that are entertaining to him and hold his interest. He would prefer not to read at all. He liked the first book of this series but this second one has both of us irritated. A major theme of this book is that Cody, the main character has difficulty being forthcoming and honest. He hides truths that in his mind are for the right reasons. When his dishonestly becomes exposed we think that this issue has been dealt with and he learns how much he has disappointed people, that it is lesson learned. However, by the next chapter he's doing it again to the point of ridiculous, enough already! Too much!

Also, if swear words are offensive or not something that you want a young person reading then this is NOT the book for you.

In addition to being a YA author, Lisa Nowak is a retired amateur stock car racer, an accomplished cat whisperer, and a professional smartass.
