Superbly written,

This review is from: Getting Started with QNX Neutrino 2 -- A Guide for Realtime Programmers (Paperback)
I found this to be an excellent resource for Nuetrino users, ranging from the most inexperienced user all the way to the senior Neutrino programmer. Rob Krten has captured the essence of QNX's Neutrino in a richly featured guide that includes in depth understanding of the operating system and perceptive glances at the architecture itself. Most programming references on the market today do not have the insight into the architecture of the operating system like this extensive programming guide has. A must for all Neutrino users at any stage of development. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT...

Excellent Practical Text,

This review is from: Getting Started with QNX Neutrino 2 -- A Guide for Realtime Programmers (Paperback)
I have used this text twice for instructing a course on real-time and concurrent programming. The author's approach is very practical (as opposed to theoretical) and, when combined with the sample code, makes it easy for students to quickly understand the material. Anyone wishing to learn or use a nicely-crafted RTOS should get this book and download Neutrino.
