A valuable informative book for Architects, February 10, 2010
This review is from: Getting There by Design: An architect's guide to project and design management (Paperback)
Indeed it is a wonderful book for its informative topics. The book consists of 5 parts, starting with the "project context", then "decision and techniques", "managing costs and fees", "cultures as action systems" and a concluding section. Book organized very well to exemplify the project situations. I greatly advise the book for architects/architectural students.

Good PM book for creative types, January 5, 2001
This review is from: Getting There by Design: An architect's guide to project and design management (Paperback)
Allinson covers the bases on project management from the perspective of the creative side of the brain. This isn't a "create a WBS following these rules and get an M&M" style book. You will have to think to use the information but it is well worth while. If you are a creative type working in a project managed environment, this is a very good book. The references and his descriptions are very useful.
