I came across this book last week in a bookstore and having read "Into the Timeless Realm", I decided to give it a shot. Well, what a find! I'm over half way through it and I just can't put it down. It's a wonderful story that reminds me of Jane Roberts' Oversoul 7 trilogy. I don't know if Michael Roads has ever read any of Jane's or Seth's books, but his works cover many of the same topics and reinforce the "you create your own reality" ideas put forth by Seth. I'm looking forward to the next 2 books in Mr. Roads' trilogy.

GETTING THERE is a full course meal with all the trimmings. I like to have a book effect me or stimulate me or take me for a ride. Here is a book to do all that. I have read this book twice and I recommend it to everyone. Michael Roads is making a contribution to the growth potential in all of us.

I have been to hear Michael talk and always leave with motivation and insight with which to effect change in my life. GETTING THERE sits waiting to do the same at any reading! Thanks Michael!

This story was simply wonderful - ! Many times have I read one truly great book from an author, went back for more, and found the rest sadly lacking ... not so with Michael Roads' books! Every single one of them is a treasure to read and re-read, refreshing in their poetic simplicity and deeply touching.

In this particular novel, prepare to hang on for an enriching and very intense ride that takes you from the very pits of despair to immense joy and anywhere in between. It is a very human journey, a journey of growing courage, love, and joy. Too many of us think we're on this journey alone, without help or anyone to understand what we go through - well, think again! If you're on this journey of self-discovery, this story will definitely in-spire; and even if you're not yet sure if you are, this book is too good a read to pass up! Sit back and enjoy - and have FUN!

Getting There was a great book! I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in reading about Spirituality or Enlightenment. The book chronicles the spritual transformation of Adam, a despondent, crabby, and depressed eco-farmer in Australia. Through the help of your extraordinary teacher, Selph, Adam learns how to change his life and finally become a happier individual. The book is great because it's funny, has a great plot, and a couple of great lessons. I think by the time anyone finishes this book, you will come to love Adam, Amber and especially Selph!!!

Michael Roads opens your heart and mind, allowing you to see self and spiritual growth as a natural part of human evolution. I feel that he allows the idea of awakening to seem real and attainable rather than remaining a mystical fantasy. He is a gifted writer, and I would highly suggest all his books because they bring to life so beautifully his amazing metaphysical experiences.

Michael Roads' books may not be for everyone, but they always strike a deep, resonant chord inside me. "Getting There" is no exception. If anything, I think Michael may have outdone himself this time. I'm not even finished with it yet, and I'm already writing this review and hoping he won't be long in writing another one.

Way to go, Michael!!!

I like reading books that move me spiritually. Books that put me in a realm of peace. Books that cause thought yet open up other parts of self. This book was well written and a grand adventure of a man's quest to find himself with in himself through his selph. I am giving it away to all my friends who will take the adventure.

Aren't we all wondering: Why are we here? What is the purpose of life? How and where do we find the Truth? Michael Roads, in his books, starting with SIMPLE IS POWERFUL, via TALKING WITH NATURE, JOURNEY INTO NATURE, JOURNEY INTO ONENESS and INTO A TIMELESS REALM, leads us along his own path to "awakening". I read his latest book, GETTING THERE, while hurricane Georges was roaring over our house with a measured windforce of 175 miles an hour, and I couldn't put it down. It is a great book. I loved the descriptions of Australia's nature, the drought, the romance, the fruit recipe and the awakening. I don't know if I am GETTING THERE, but thinking along with Michael helps a lot.

This book will keep your attention from the very beginning to the end. You'll find it very difficult to put down. The story line is a riveting one about a long-sought after spiritual teacher and his somewhat embittered student. It will inspire as well as entertain you. What a treasure!

Another great book from Michael Roads. This is the kind of book that makes reading worthwhile. I already have my Christmas lists checked off cause everyone I know will be getting Getting There. It's the book to share with friends...enemies too! Way to go Michael Roads. I'll look forward to the sequel.
