Parental pressure forces this kid to try to bribe his way off the Waitng List and into Princeton University. Trouble is, another kid is trying to murder them. Lots of ghoulish fun and a love story that isn't yucky. Dave Chappelle is a totally fun computer nerd and Stephen Mailer is cute. Andrew McCarthy is spooky. Calista Flockhart and Matt Perry have small roles, but they are funny. Great for date nites or pajama parties. My gang loved it.

Somewhat funny, but doesn't cut it., May 4, 1999

Getting In is an... interesting film, but after a while it becomes a dismal bore. Some parts of the film are funny, but usually it is pretty lame, and doesn't REALLY make the murderer a mystery. In "Getting In", Medical Students are mysteriously killed after being bribed off of the waiting list into Johns Hopkins Medical School. It's a little humorous and interesting at times, but other than that, it's a bore. And DON'T let the photos of Calista Flockhart and Matthew Perry on the cover of the film's recent re-release fool you... they have a total of 6 minutes airtime together, and I am not kidding.
