GETTING TO YES is a classic text on negotiation skills and whether you are a business executive, an entrepreneur, or just the average joe shmoe, you need to have read this book at least once in your life. Learning mutual gains negotiation is a critical life skill and no book delivers the instruction better than this one. Highly informative and a guaranteed worthy investment of your time.

I had to read this book for a negotiating class as a part of an MBA program. The book did a fair job of presenting the fundamental theories in an easy to understand way and used relevant examples to reinforce the concepts. The one drawback is that I never felt the book evolved into more advanced topics. Perhaps it wasn't meant to and just wasn't a good match for the course I was taking (i.e. the course advanced on topics but the book remained basic and introductory). Still, a good read that served its purpose for the course.
