More About the Author

Richard Oppenheim guides people to exit from the powerful grip of indecision and self-doubt by creating a personal map to navigate the road ahead. The key focus is to assist clients to reframe answers to the question, "What do you want to do?"

On his blog site, www.gpsguides.wordpress.com, Richard covers topics for people and companies to make decisions, choose wisely and continue to move forward on their path. I have lots of experiences from falling off my bicycle to failing at a job to figuring out how my beautiful second marriage continues to amaze me.

My life goes on through joy and sorrow - the loss of an adult child, discovering the energy and curiosity of grandchildren, the number of teachers I learn from and how my sharing helps so many others.

A long-time New Yorker turned Coloradan works well. Although I do not ski, I root for the Broncos and against the Giants. Life is full and full of surprises.

This review is from: Getting You Past Go: How to Get Unstuck and Stay Unstuck Forever (Paperback)
Having been in business for many years, (owned my own company before early retirement and becoming a minister) I appreciated Richard Oppenheim's, "Gertting Past Go," especially if you are in or considering a new business or expansion of your present business. For those who have no intention of a start-up or expanding/changing fields or product mix, you can't loose by reading this timely and well-expressed package of professional wisdom. I also appreciate the well thought out check lists that serve to remind us of what we thought we needed to do, what we didn't do and what needs to be done. From conceptual to implementing positive things in our life, he has covered the basics and the bases.

There are other applications that this powerful little book addresses, and they need not be business oriented. I can well sense the goal oriented, the personal life fears and procrastiniations (especially the FUD Factor he reminds us of - fear, uncertainty and doubt) we often indulge in and the realization that as smart as we think we are, there are always little things we forget that turn into much larger mistakes along the paths of life. Oppenheim reminds us with clear certaiinty, our paths in a lifetime are never the same road traveled. That's why this little book, an easy read and packed with one good piece of advice after the other, is a must.

For the $10, you can't get better advice from anyone, especially with Oppenheim's degrees, credentials and life's experiences. At the price, I would buy one for yourself and one for a friend who seems to be stuck in ANY of lifes roads and can't seem to get past the "go" line. Perhaps this is the book that will give them a gentle nudge in running the race as well as one should and finishing well.
