4.0 out of 5 stars Permission granted. June 1, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
Nanny P covers a lot of common knowledge as well as tricks of the trade. The biggest bonus for me in reading this was that I felt as if I was given permission to let my son cry it out if need be. There are so many different ways to get your child on track to a good night's sleep, it's just a matter of finding whichever one works for you.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another Great book by Nanny P September 24, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
This series is an excellent resource manual for parents of toddlers. The sleep training manual is easy to read and gives parents a blueprint that is easy to follow to establish great sleep time routines. Nanny's advice is reasonable as well as simple

Every parent needs to be encouraged to establish sleep time routines that will stay with the child throughout their childhood. I was impressed by the idea of doing exercise with the toddler and establishing exercise routines. The idea of letting your toddler see you exercising to encourage him is excellent. I also liked the idea of the relaxing for an hour before actually going to bed.

I highly recommend this entire series

5.0 out of 5 stars Trouble at bedtime? Here's what you need to know. September 16, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Wow! I was blown away by how comprehensive this book is. For parents with toddlers, even if you don't have a problem with getting them to go to bed at night, it has great advice for ensuring that your child is getting enough sleep. My children are grown so I've been using this book to help with my grandchildren when they stay with me. It has made life so much easier having this resource, plus I'm enjoying those little ones so much more when they get enough sleep and there aren't bedtime battles.

The author draws on her experience as a nanny, which certainly makes her an authority on this issue. The book is full of how-to's, as well as what to do when there are sleep problems or problems with getting your child to bed. What do you do if you do everything right and you still have problems with your child going to sleep? It's like having your own pediatrician in the house with you to give advice on what to do, including dealing with things that go "bump in the night". Everything you need to know is covered, and it is an enjoyable read.

More About the Author

Thanks for stopping by to find out more about me.

Who is Nanny P?

I've had 12+ years of full-time nanny experience and have had the privilege of working with multiple families and various ages of children.

In my "Nanny Notes on Toddler" series, I tackle some of the most common issues that parents deal with when it comes to raising children of the ages 1-3 years old.

My own philosophy of childcare is that children need adults in their lives who'll give them love, discipline, guidance, a safe environment (physically and emotionally), fun and creativity, motivation, vision and self confidence.

I design each of my blueprints with these principles in mind.

I also publish children's short chapter books (for age 7+) under the pen name PJ Ryan. Learn more about the fun antics of Rebekah, Mouse and RJ at (many are also available as audiobooks)

I wish you much success in parenting your amazing toddler!
