There is not much i can say about this book [ it is really a magazine]if you want to know about the 3 day battle 9.95 is a steal.Other books costing 20.00 or more can't compare to this.It gets right to the point of what happened each day.You won't be disappointed.

For $9.95, this little book packs a lot of bang for the buck, no pun intended. It's an attractive book, featuring Dale Gallon artwork on the cover. Whether you choose to read it in one sitting, or just read one entry a day - it's equally enjoyable either way.The book is not divided into chapters, but rather, as the title suggests, separate entries (of approximately two pages per entry) describing an action that occurred during a particular hour of the battle, arranged chronologically from beginning to end. Superb illustrations, including captions, accompany each entry, and simple but informative battle maps mark the location of each action being described. Introductory sections are provided to help orient beginners with basic Civil War military organization and tactics. For the number of maps and illustrations, and the amount of information packed into such an inexpensive book, I would certainly recommend it to just about anyone who has an interest in the Battle of Gettysburg and/or the Civil War, whether he or she is already an avid reader, or a novice who is just beginning the journey.
