I had the opportunity taste this coffee in an early sampling. I've always found Gevalia coffees to be a quality product. More than once I've ordered it to get a free coffee maker and later had to cancel it because their pricing is a little rich for my blood. It is priced as an indulgence and it delivers the goods when it comes to taste. I am not normally a flavored coffee lover but I have to admit that Gevalia has found the perfect balance between rich chocolate and coffee flavor. It good drunk black, but add a little sweetener and cream, and the flavor is really enhanced in a positive way, delivering liquid version of a coffee flavored truffle. While I'd classify this as a dessert coffee, it would be great as a morning eye-opener as well.

Overall, this is a great addition to the line of quality coffees from Gevalia. Chocolate and coffee lovers will find a lot to savor in these three 8 oz. boxes.

This coffee smells great first thing in the morning, if you occasionally enjoy a flavored coffee. The chocolate is a rich addition to the good, medium-bodied coffee, with plenty of morning caffeine.

I enjoy my coffee with plenty of hot milk and a bit of raw sugar (like a latte), made with my Aeropress AeroPress Coffee and Espresso Maker. This made a fantastic cup of coffee with just the right touch of chocolate, and no artificial flavor notes. I brewed the coffee the way I normally do with two huge Aeropress scoops of coffe, and water at 175 degrees for 30 seconds; then I lowered the plunger. Mmmmmm. A perfect cup of extra-good latte, and a shot of chocolate flavoring.

Actually, I usually don't care for flavored coffees. I always *think* I'll like them and then am usually disappointed by the funny aftertaste or they all sort of have the same hazelnutty generic flavor. Not this one. We loved it. I will buy this again, especially for gifts. The chocolate flavor in this harmonizes with--not competes with--the excellent coffee flavor. I like it with cream. No funny aftertaste.
