This game is not fun at all. Trying to jump and/or move from level to level is so frustrating that I put the game away and refuse to play it! Graphically, it is cute, but because controlling Gex is extremely difficult, I cannot recommend this game. Maybe it is better on PlayStation.

I got this game for christmas and I really like it. The game hasmany different enemies and items. The game also has excellent graphics and control. The media dimension( the place where you choose the level you want to complete)is really big and interesting. The only problem with this game is that the levels have a lack of variety, but I still give this game 5 stars. If you are a exploring and puzzle freak this is the game for you.

I bought this along with a couple other games by the same seller for my Gameboy Color. This is a regular Gameboy game and does not state anywhere on it being for the Gameboy Color as stated in the image and product description. However, the game is in color when you play it. Now about playing the game. I have never played on a Gameboy of any kind before this. I'm more of a console with controllers person. I have played and own Gex: Enter the Gecko on PS1. The controls and such were much more difficult to figure out than I had anticipated, but after a little internet research, I was able to figure them out. Overall, this version is much like the PS1 version, except with fewer levels, basic graphics, etc. It is challenging, but not too challenging. I like this game.

I purchased this game used. It seemed cool, as the Nintendo64 version was good. When I started to play it, it was entaertaining... for a while, until the repetitive gameplay started to kick in. The annoying parts were the jumps and unfair opposing damage. I played it for ten minutes and then my game froze. It wasn't my Game Boy Color, it was probably just that it was used. That made me kind of mad, as I had [aid an unreasonable price for the game. I played on, hoping it wouldn't freeze again. I got to level two, the haunted mansion level, but I couldnt complete it! There was absolutly no way to jump up onto the ledge to go further into the level. I immidiatly returned the game with no regrets.

I thought that this game had no plot whatsoever. But it is pretty challenging. The graphics are pretty good and Gex is a neat geco, but I think that the plot is one of the most important parts of the game. The enemies aren't too hard too kill but the codes to get to more levels are too complex and hard to record. The point of codes is so that someone who gets to a level can go back, but someone who hasn't been there can't--in this game you can't no matter what because the codes are very difficult to get right. Also, the whole point of the game is to get all of the TV screens, how stupid is that? But there are plenty of levels, and it is pretty hard, the graphics are pretty good, thats why I gave it a triple-star, but I thought that it had the one of the worst plots that I've seen in a game, but you might like it.
