5.0 out of 5 stars Fabolous, Best New Artist
I was looking forward to two new artist's albums. Bubba Sparxxx and Fabolous. After listening throughly to both albums, I've got to say that Fabolous come out way on top. Bubba Sparxxx, even with Timbaland producing the album, just ...(stinks)... the only really good song on that album is the current club banger, Ugly, but it's mostly Timbaland production that shines...

2.0 out of 5 stars fabolous-y
Fabolous shouldn't have gone commercial straight away, at least with nas and Jay-z, their debut albums kept it raw and let their lyrics do the talking. Fabolous does spit some dime lyrics - these niggas gots to get punch, talk stupid get shells in ya stomach,like you had pasta for lunch - but the production lets the album down. However I do like Fabs flow, and is best...

I was looking forward to two new artist's albums. Bubba Sparxxx and Fabolous. After listening throughly to both albums, I've got to say that Fabolous come out way on top. Bubba Sparxxx, even with Timbaland producing the album, just ...(stinks)... the only really good song on that album is the current club banger, Ugly, but it's mostly Timbaland production that shines through, not really Bubba Sparxxx annoying flow.

But Fabolous shines on both fronts. This is a real rap album. His flow is smooth and all his production shines, which even includes some Timbaland produced songs. DJ Clue has a real winner with this kid. I love Nate Dogg and him and Fabolous just tear it up on Can't Deny It. Take you home is another hit with Lil' Mo, Ride for this is another great track with Ja Rule. I also love Ma Be Easy. But the whole album is a banger, from Track 1 - 16, nothing deserve to be skipped.

So two new artists.. Fabolous has a bright future. Bubba Sparxxx is an Eminem wannabe, but his country flow is a slow dumb redneck sound that just isn't interesting. Buy Fabolous if you're a true rap fan.

This album was hot. I love every track. I especially love the song he has out now (Can't Deny It). I think Fabolous has a long future in the rap game. I can't wait for the second album to drop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabolous ~ HOT NEW MC, September 26, 2001

This review is from: Ghetto Fabolous (Audio CD)
Fabolous' new cd "Ghetto Fabolous", has some of the tightest beats that I have heard in a long time. This cd is something that you just have to pop in ya car. The beats were very nicely produced, and even though a lot of people are saying he can't rap and isnt lyrical, Just because hes not the fastest MC to date, doesnt mean he doesnt have a lot of skill. I suggest that if you like VERY nice beats, and good rap, that you go out and buy "Fabolous-Ghetto Fabolous" NOW!

Being FABOLOUS' wifey of cousre I gotta give him 5 stars. Anyone who hasn't brought my man's album better up and get it because you do not know what you are missing. I mean #7 featuring Jagged Edge is just off the hook. If you just sit back and listen to FABOLOUS' songs you'll just fall in love with his album. Although if you're not into listening to guys who talk about using females for oral sex, I definitely recommend that you do not listen to number 10. Of course I love it because every thing that comes from out of his mouth is real. This cat is real he tells it like it is. I can't explain anymore how much ya'll need to buy his album, so just buy it!

4.0 out of 5 stars This CD is F-A, B-O, L-O, U-S, February 20, 2002

I've been a Fabolous fan since I first heard him on DJ Clue's The Professional (Part 1). Since then, I have been trying to get all of his songs and freestyles. I was excited when I first heard that this album was droppin.

You just know that this CD would be good when you have a great lyricist (Fabolous), a well-known name (Ja Rule), one of the top R&B groups (Jagged Edge) & the man who has a ton of guest spots (Nate Dogg). And that is only the artists....producing you have The Neptunes, Timbaland, DJ Clue, Rockwilder, DJ Envy & Duro. This equals success already.

Fabolous has tight lyrics on the album, and at times you gotta pause the CD to try to understand it. The beats are tight, and you can easly listen to the whole album in entirety. This is an interesting CD because the themes of the songs change from track to track, yet you gotta like em all. This CD has some of the best beats I've ever heard and the thing that maes them really good is that Fabolous doesn't seem to be fighting the music, he just flows perfectly with it. His voice is one that can be put to any beat and it still sounds good.

Below is my track rating (1-5)
Click & Spark: 4
Keepin It Gangsta: 4.5
Young'n: 5
Get Right: 4
Ride For This: 5++
One Day: 5
Trade It All: 4.5
Right Now & Later on: 3.5
Take You Home: 4
Get Smart: 5++
Can't Deny It: 5
Ma Be Easy: 4
We Don't Give A: 3.5
The Bad Guy: 4

Also included on this CD are 3 bonus tracks (one of which is 15 seconds of silence), the music video to Can't Deny It & Enhanced CD software.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good CD, October 12, 2005

Now I'm not prone to hip-hop or rap much (unless it's a certain style and has a good backing melody). Not because I think it's stupid, it just ain't my cup of tea. But Fabolous caught my ear in 2001 and I haven't been able to get over this CD ever since. "Can't Deny It" is by far one of the best tracks on the entire album, but "Young'n," "Get Smart" and "Ma' Be Easy" are all great cuts too. This album is the dope and is a great buy for any hip-hop or rap music listener.
