5.0 out of 5 stars Kick....ass...., March 14, 2004
This review is from: Ghetto Preacher (Audio CD)
Nate is by far the best there is right now. Rap/Hip-Hop these days is all about a bunch of weak rappers with weak lyrics and weak sounds, and the only thing thats good is the instrumentals. Nate is totally different. Lyrics kick ass, instrumentals are always nice and funky and tight, and the sound is totally the best.

This album deserves 5 stars becouse of following reasons:
1.Nate's voice is unique and it can be both hard and mellow and he get's the best of it on his songs
2.His lyrics are as strong as 2pac's even
3.The producer's on his songs are the best,johnny j,daz,sopafly...
4.He colaborates with the best westcoast geez
I think I have sad enough reasons for buying this cd...If you like g-funk then u won't regreat this album

5.0 out of 5 stars Nate Dogg has it down, July 7, 2000

This review is from: Ghetto Preacher (Audio CD)
Many people nowdays see gangsta rap as a bunch of drugged up losers taking senseless trash in front of a microphone. It is. Many people also see Nate Dogg as just another failure in gangsta rap. He's not. I have listened to quite a bit of gangsta rap, and i have to say Nate Dogg is amazing. He is so original, he is the only rapper who can actually sing, and his lyrics go deep andmake sense. He is changing the style of ghetto rap, changing the rules for the better. He talks of things other then pimpin, violence, and sex, which is hard to find in rap. He is a great artist with some great talent, and i think even for the hardcore rapper, he will give u soemthing you'll like. And for others, he'll show u soemthing new, sometyhing thats not gangsta rap, but a new nate dogg rap, with original lyrics, original music, and an abundance of talent. Its some great music. Check this out now!

5.0 out of 5 stars classic g-funk, June 29, 2006
This review is from: Ghetto Preacher (Audio CD)
nate dogg is a great rapper. his voice is funky. this album is g-funk style. 2pac, kurupt, daz dillinger and snoop are on featuring. It is one of the best album of the westcoast during the best period. His flow is a mix of rap funk and soul. Nate dogg is on featuring of all the hiphop stars (snoop, fifty, eminem, dr dre, the game) if you buy this cd it will be a good occasion to discover a great rapper

5.0 out of 5 stars Original, November 12, 2005

Nate Dogg from DPG is one of my favorite artists. He has a truly unique style. This cd is awesome. Every song is great. If I had to pick a weak one, it would probably be Dirty Hoe's Draws. The bad thing about this song is that Nate isn't in it much. My favorite song on this album is These Days. Nate has great lyrics and all his songs have a cool flow and beat. This is a great cd that I will be listening to for years.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent, December 16, 2004
This review is from: Ghetto Preacher (Audio CD)
the songs are solid. if you really like nate dogg, you can also get his "g funk classics vols. 1 and 2" as well. based on this cd production alone however the dedication nate dogg has to his music and the time he spends crafting the beats (or his friends spend crafting the beats) is clear. this is perhaps better than the other cd offered in the g funk classics collection, the prodigal son. the cd is overall very well made, go and get it if you want to sample nate dogg's solo style.
