In short this is a good collection of songs taken from that period when Sizzla was more like Sizzla. Some from late nineties and more from early millenium around the time of Rise to the Occasion. That should explain why the album leaves you with the same feeling of Rise to the Occasion. I counted only 2 tunes that were made in recent times, one of them being the tune to Barack Obama. All others I own from before. Having said that, the quality of music is definitely good, but it says little about what Sizzla is capable of right now. We all know he was one of the most gifted reggae artistes ever to hold a microphone, but is he still? I am still waiting on a true studio project and not just a compilation.

This one is fire - from Track 1 to 15. If you're a fan, you've got to have this in your collection. Ranks right up there with Da Real Thing, for me. The CD cover artwork is simply amazing. Kalonji rules.

"HAIL TO THE KING!!" Sizzla Kalonji finally comes back to deliver a real roots & culture master piece for reggae fans. He is back in smooth and controlled form showcasing his early singjay delivery styles and content that originally catapulted his early career, back then when Xterminator (Philip "Fatis" Burrel and Digital B (Bobby "Digital B" Dixon) were dominating the reggae scene's production chair. This time, the album is fully produced by well seasoned veteran drummer & producer, George Melbourne Miller of the Firehouse Crew & label, and of which showcases today's more traditional live roots sound rather than the late digi-roots sound that dominated and soared in prior years. Both styles are just as equal and affective when paired up to Sizzla's rastaman chanting. Sizzla mixes a versatile singjay delivery style for this album unlike his typical hyper scruffy, sore-throat boasting that he began adopting in the early 2000's, and of which followed the lyrics of slackness...with that said however, For old and new fans, Ghetto Youth-Ology should become a favor as this too is quite reminiscent of early Sizzla material from (1995 to 1999).

Let's truely hope that Sizzla takes the time to continue and write lyrically meaningful and uplifting songs incorporating his hallmark harmonious melodies (Praise Ye Jah, Blackness, Blaspheme, Eastern Moutain, No Other Like Jah, Black Woman & Child, Kings of the Earth, Woman of Africa, Holding Firm, King Taco, Royal Son of Ethiopia, etc.) as he is still capable of delivering them to the fans on such tunes as (Ghetto Utes dem ah suffer, Stop it Right Now, Gwaan Bear, Qualities in Life, Babylon Ease Off, etc). Hoping for a new release with either Xterminator or Digital B will also be a wonderful thought to delve into while listening to Ghetto Youth-Ology...and if not, another one from the Firehouse Crew will be remarkable as another production team stable. Thank you Firehouse Crew for bring back the old Sizzla sound...

Sizzla makes a dynamic comeback with one of his best albums to date. Although not in the same league with The real Thing, Ghettology brings together a unique blend of hard hitting lyrics, profanity free, with the powerful message of equality and hard work. The overriding theme throughout the album is the inspiration given to youths who are challenged financially. Sizzla calls upon his own life experiences to encourage the youth to strive and make their way in life without the need to resort to viloence and such. All in all a very good album

Finally A cd with all new tracks! I'm A Die hard Sizzla fan. I own almost all his cds that i can get in the states.This one is a great one in a long time.I Can play this from begining to end.I LOVE IT!!!!
