A Perfect Blend,

This review is from: Ghirardelli Chocolate Luxe Milk Bar, Crisp, 2.81-Ounce Bars (Pack of 6) (Grocery)
It has been a very long time since a perfect Milk Chocolate Crisped Rice bar has been available. Many years ago, when the Fannie May Candy Co. (Chicago) was still in the hands of its original owners, they made a good one. Since then, the only reasonable substitute has been the RitterSport Knusper-Flakes (German milk chocolate with corn flakes). But the chocolate is too thick and hard. Perfection could only be found at the boutique candy makers in Zurich. But how much can you bring home before you exhaust the European supply? Well, Ghiradelli has solved the problem with their new Luxe line of milk chocolate. I've never understood why dark chocolate is so fashionable. When I want chocolate, I want something rich, sweet, infused with cocoa and crispy in texture. I want the Ghiradelli Luxe Crisp Bar. The bar is thin (as it should be). The ratio of chocolate to rice is perfect. Every bite has a balanced texture. And the chocolate melts in your mouth. Amazon sells them by the dozen. Once you taste them, you'll need at least 12.

I found the crispy part too hard to chew on. Overall, don't like
the texture of this bar. |
