The ramifications of this hard to find book are life altering, especially considering the 'Spiricom' project was run by educated and respected individuals who supposedly documented EVP voices. The book is listed as non-fiction, and is about EVP experiments that were conducted successfully by certain supposedly credible individuals outlined in the book. If indeed there is something to EVP, and results have been real, this is monumental stuff to say the least. If EVP is a big hoax, then shame on you and shame on me for believing in the stuff. 'April Fools' or 'real-life ghouls'??? For now, I will suspend my disbelief and honestly say I am open to the possibilities! I am honestly afraid to try this for myself. I would probably freak out if I heard voices from the other side!!! Some things are better left unsaid...

I bought this book back in 1986. But now with the movie "White Noise" that is based on EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomena) I figured people would be interested and checking up on books like this on the subject, and that I would put in a review on this book.

I found the book very interesting. It reports several experiments using common ordinary tape recorders and radios in which you can ask questions of ghosts, and when you play back the tape, you might hear faint spoken answers on the tape.

It even had an address of some research facility that you could write to for more information, and at the time I did write and did get a neat package of info. I don't know if this many years later, the address or research facility would still be around or be contacted at the same address in the book. Perhaps you could look it up on the internet and find if they are still around.

But the book explains enough on how you can experiment on your own with common tape recorder.

For people that are really into Ghosts and Paranormal activity, this is a real neat book.

People into radio or recording may find it interesting as well.

I did try the experiment myself, but did not get any results.

After myself and other coworkers heard footsteps of what we figured was a ghost in our building, and figuring more than one person can't imagine the same things, I really did some hard investigation into the "ghost". In the end, I learned exactly why and how people hear ghosts. But that, I will have to save for a book of my own one day.

The explanation is really very simple, once you understand it.

I read this book after what I thought was a unique experience, after reading it, it seemed to explain most of the mystery about which I sought answers to. All I can suggest is you read my true story about Cathy, then perhaps you will want to read John G. Fullers "The Ghost of 29 Megacycles" as it provides many answers to the questions which seem to pop up. Search the web for "Cathy and the Paranormal" my true account.

Not the fastest flowing of books, but it sure packs a punch. You know this has to be true - the credibility is there and you know what - look it up on the internet - you can even hear the conversations with those beyond life. John has produced some exceedingly interesting books and to my mind convincingly real - get yourself any of his volumes and you won't be sorry

I ran into the book a long time ago. And while I was reading it I had to recheck the spine of the book to make sure it did indeed say NON-Fiction.

I felt John Grant Fuller should have told the world, media press, papers,everyone! They should have made 50 of these things and then turned them all on the same day around the world. they would provide us with closure when a plane crashes, and also when your wife dies, you can go be with here for a bit when your sad. So if these things in the book did indeed happen then I think we a re all stupid for not re-doing the experiment. Thomas Edison even speculated on the creation of the device. All I know is that I want four if them.

The book was easy reading and made chills run up and down my spine.
