5.0 out of 5 stars So glad this is coming out
I've been a fan of this show since it premiered in 2008. While the show can be repetitive at times, there is usually always something unsettling that happens in each episode.

The three men who go on these ghost adventures are entertaining enough - esp when you realize that they are getting on each other's nerves.

3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining
I do like this show but the first season was better.
They just caught a lot of weak EVP's and a couple very had to see figures. I just
have a very hard time with believing when people get possessed so easily.
I will continue to purchase these sets because I love Ghost Hunting, But I still
prefer Ghost Hunters. Let's put it this way, I watched half...

I'm esp excited about the season 2 release because it contains my favorite episode - 'Moon River Brewing Company'. to me, this was the creepiest of them all.

I'll be glad to add this to my collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars YES!!! Keep the adventures coming please!!!, September 1, 2010

I just ordered my copy, and I'm so glad that this Season is finally available for pre-order! Just in time for The Halloween Season, too, muhahahahahaha! My favorite time of the year indeed! I already pretty much wrote a novel on how I feel about this show in The Season One review pages, so this one will be short and sweet. ;)

SSssooo... well... I just never get sick of this show. I could seriously watch the episodes over and over again--which I literally have many, many times, lol. I really, TRULY hope they continue to release more adventures, and the seasons, of course. Like how they do with all those other pointless reality shows that magically appear to turn out on DVD about every other week or so. GAG ME!! This show's a KEEPER!! And once again... I hope and pray for a long-lived "Ghost Adventures" adventure--more and more seasons to come! Let's keep these reviews ROCKIN' so that our point will be MADE!!!

ETA: Excerpt from the review I wrote for Season One... Telling all the reasons why I love this show so much!

I confess, I am completely addicted to this show. I'll watch the same episodes over and over again on The Travel Channel, I never get sick of them. I just ordered Season One, and it's on its way... and I also pre-ordered Season 2, of course. DUH!! LOL. Anyways this show is extremely entertaining. Not only do the investigators gather incredible evidence once dusk hits and it's time for "lock-down" ... but they are an absolute HOOT to watch once their adventure begins. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

Zak Bagans has definitely found his calling by doing what he does. This field has needed a NO BS, NO NONSENSE, tough, in-your-face type of investigator for a long, LONG time... so Zak's been a long time coming!! He's so funny to watch, because you can just tell he's like a little kid in a candy shop practically drooling when the owner or keeper gives him the tour and the run-down on the site, paranormal activity, experiences, stories, and the history behind each location, etc, etc;--which is just as fascinating in itself. He completely cracks me up because he ALWAYS tackles and taunts the 'evil' and most aggressive entities at the site, and basically tells them who's boss. He asks and demands that they try to pull the same stuff that they have pulled on other people. He's persistent, and extremely passionate about this, and it makes you wanna' back him up 100 percent! But the laughs will still be there, of course, LOL!

Nick, the second investigator is the more 'smooth and suave' type... but he relentlessly follows Zak's orders and pretty much always gets the job done, which is what these guys are just trying to do. Get in, get the evidence they need, and get the H*LL outta' there--ALIVE!! Nick gets just as frightened and scared as the other two, though, no matter how hard he tries to hide it.

Aaron, the camera-man is a total TRIP to watch beause he is definitely the most vulnerable and frightened of the group. The entities feed off of people's fear, and they loooove to mess with Aaron, hehehe. Zak and Nick undoubtedly know this because they usually use Aaron as "the bait"... making him do some of the scariest and craziest experiments during the lockdown. But Hey. Somebody's gotta' do the dirty work, right??? LOL!

All in all this has got to be the best paranormal research show out there today, and I really hope these guys continue to do what they're doing for a very long, long time. And they are ARE professional in what they do. They're real people just like the rest of us, yanno. They become terrified, run for their lives, scream and yell, and they are not afraid to show it. I see nothing wrong with paranormal investigators having a little bit of personality... and these guys have a PLENTY of it, lol, which is quite refreshing. They're like 3 little kids going through a Haunted House on Halloween night, LULZ. Their reactions are genuine and yes, HI-larious at the same time. You can bet that if I was doing this stuff in front of millions of viewers on TV, I would give them a run for their money, too! The only one who really overreacts is Aaron--no surprise. Still--it's genuine overreactions. They show us just how REAL this field is... and their techniques work, because they get lots of activity and evidence recorded. I don't think I've ever seen a show where they haven't collected or experienced any activity. So whatever they're doing--it's working! Bottom line: They get the job done, and they've shined a whole new light on paranormal studies. They are cleary passionate in what they do, and it shows. You get caught up in the adventure right along with them!

I call these guys "The Real-Life Ghostbusters" because once again, they really mean business, and let the entities know it, too (which of course, the entities do not like). They are a no BS, no nonsense group of investigators who get the job done and get it done right, IMO. It's also so funny to watch them get on eachother's nerves, too... yelling at eachother, telling eachother to shut-up, calm down, telling the other one to go do something because "they ain't doing it", etc, etc, etc. LMAO--these guys are totally like The 3 Stooges of this field. Completely genuine and completely entertaining together.

Anyways. What else can I say besides--MOVE OVER "Ghost Hunters" (pppppffffffffffff)--there's a new sheriff in town! Zak and his crew!! They are here to kick GHOST-BUTT!!! And these bros "ain't scared of no ghost!" Well... like most of the time, dude, LMAO!!!

Great stuff, I wish the other "ghost" hunting shows were this good. Travel Channel keeps showing re-runs of shows which is ok, but where is the new material?

All in all this DVD is a collection of great material that shows most of these "spirits" are really demonic, sometimes masquerading as something or someone benign.

This 2nd season is the best one yet. It has very intreging episodes. My favorits where Poveglia Island and Magnolia Plantation. Poveglia Island was really eerie and eye opening. Its got a super dark history and a ton of ghost activity. Now with Magnolia Plantation was fascinating and jam packed with escentric history. The extra history on the area of each location makes you feel like took a time machine back into hsitory. Well worht the money spent. If u like the paranormal I would highly recommend this season.

I watch this show religiously ever friday on travel channel(even the re-runs). The absolute best ghost hunting show on tv. There is no camera crew following them around it is just the three of them which definately ups the creep factor. Great show highly recommend it.

I Love this show, I admit it, I'm 40yrs old and I've been watching this show from the beginning even their first two hour documentry they did by themselves. They have it all; great ghost hunting locations, scary moments, and Zak, Nick and Aaron always keep me laughing all the time. It's a great show and even my 20 year old daughter loves their show as well, we watch it together all the time. I can't wait for the new episode to start every week and when the seasons come out to buy we purchase them right away. I hope "Ghost Adventures" last a long time!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Beware - 5 episodes are missing, September 19, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ghost Adventures Season 2 (DVD)
I was SO excited when it was finally announced that this DVD set was being released and I pre-ordered it the moment I found out that it was available. Imagine my disappointment when the DVD set arrived and I discovered that 5 episodes have been left off this set! Amazon packed and shipped this item suberbly but I can't understand why Travel Channel left off the following episodes: Eastern State Penitentiary, Washoe Club/Chollar Mine, Remington Arms, Execution Rocks Lighthouse, and Prospect Place. I have contacted Travel Channel to inquire about the missing episodes but have yet to get a response. Hopefully the ENTIRE set of Season 2 episodes will be released some day soon.

The list this DVD includes:

Preston Castle - Ione, CA
Castillo De San Marcos - St. Augustine, FL
La Purisma Mission - Lompoc, CA
Magnolia Plantation - Natchitoches, LA
Birdcage Theater - Tombstone, AZ
Moon River Brewing Company - Savannah, GA
Ancient Ram Inn - Wotten Under Edge, England
Pennhurst State School & Hsopital - Spring City, PA
Ohio State Reformatory - Mansfield OH
Linda Vista Hospital - Los Angeles, CA

Plus as a bonus: Trans-Allegheny Lunatic Asylum (Cutdown Show) Live.

I'm upset they left out other episodes like:

Eastern State Penitentiary - Philadelphia, PA
Poveglia Island - Venice, Italy
Remington Arms Factory - Bridgeport, CT
Old Washoe Club/Chollar Mine - Virginia City, NV
Execution Rocks Lighthouse - Long Island, NY
Prospect Place - Trinway, OH.

But take it what you like of this, it would have been better if they had all the episodes together.

5.0 out of 5 stars THE BEST GHOST HUNTER STYLE SERIES IN GENRE, April 9, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Ghost Adventures Season 2 (DVD)
I have watched nearly all of the other ghost hunters style genre series that are out there, some good, some not so good and I have built up a bit a tolerance for these programs, this one had me on the edge of my seat more than once, and there were many good scares in these episodes. This is the best I have seen for action, worth watching.
