Editorial Reviews

In this full-length film that inspired the hit Travel Channel series, Zak Bagans, Nick Groff and Aaron Goodwin visit the Old Washoe Club in Virginia City, Nevada, and the Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield, Nevada—two of the most notoriously haunted sites in America. During the height of their existence, the two infamous locations were the scene of rape, murder, and other crimes of passion…a recipe for trapped souls. Prepare yourself for the creepiest footage ever caught on tape: where others won't set foot, the team witnesses a full-bodied apparition, a poltergeist that sends them running, and more shocking evidence that proves ghosts exist.

Finally, the DVD I've been waiting for, the first documentary from Zak, Nick and Aaron that I could only view on Youtube before. This is what launched all the subsequent excellent episodes of ghost hunting that has ever been shown on television. This DVD contains their journey to a haunted coal miner's cabin, cemetary, the Old Washoe Club in Virginia City and the infamous Goldfield Hotel in Goldfied, Nevada where they filmed their most famous footage of the brick flying through the air. Once again, what sets the boys apart from other paranormal groups is their energy, the excellent results they get from their nightly vigils, and the respect and importance they lend to the people they interview. The extended history they give us of each place and the interesting people they meet add so much more to the credability and honesty of these shows. I am so pleased that this first Ghost Adventure has been made into a DVD and I can add it to my Season 1 and Season 2 DVD's. This is the best paranormal show out there right now. Zak, Nick and Aaron view each paranormal experience with the same wide eyed wonder that they did upon their very first adventure. Their excitement is contagious and the results they get are amazing. Highly recommended first class ghost investigating.

I just viewed Ghost Adventures: The Original Documentary. An all I can say is if you do not believe in the paranormal, you will after veiwing this dvd. In the last of the investigations when Zak an Nick were in the Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield,Navada. They could not make out what the 'voice' near Zak was saying, but after a few replays I could clearly hear it say 'not...stop!'. It was like it was telling him to keep running from what he just saw. I am a believer of the paranormal an after you watch this dvd,you will be to.

I'm excited to see that Ghost Adventures Documentary Film is finally coming out on DVD! This has been the talk about the DVD every Ghost Adventures fan out there has been waiting for. I think they should have bonus features like the 6 episodes they left off the Season 2 DVD. But that's my opinion.

It's been a long time but now it's finally here, the documentary that started it all. I'm a big fan of the tv show and if you buy this dvd you'll know why. Pretty amazing footage there's a go get'em attitude from these guys that even "ghost hunters" can't touch. They put the other ghost hunter tv shows to shame. Best ghost documentary ever recorded. Watch it and you'll be convinced.

Being a believer in the spirit world and a big fan of the Ghost Adventures television show, I felt I just had to have the documentary that started it all. I was not disappointed! These three guys are so engaging, they're a blast to watch. Some of the evidence the caught was amazing. There has been a lot of controvery about the flying brick, but I have to say, I'm a believer. Watch with your friends and I guarantee a "spirited" discussion will "manifest".

I have been a fan of the Ghost Adventures television show for some time now. I find it more entertaining than any other ghost hunting show on TV. I used to watch Ghost Hunters, but I have found the show to consistently get more and more stale and I hate the fact that they debunk anything and everything, finding even the most ridiculous 'explanation' for everything. That, to me, makes the show boring, because they're not capturing any evidence and instead proving everything wrong. It's almost like the Ghost Hunters crew are trying to prove that ghosts do not exist, when, if you're like me, you know they do, then it's almost borderline offensive. Plus, the GH crew has a camera crew following them around and it doesn't give you that connection to any of the actual crew. That's where the biggest difference between GH and GA lies- GA is more intimate, as the only cameras they have are the ones that Zak, Nick and Aaron carry, as well as the static ones that they set up, and they are actually trying to prove the existence of ghosts.

Now, that's not to say that Zak Bagans, Nick Groff, and Aaron Goodwin don't know the difference between a legitimate paranormal activity and something perpetrated by light or any other common factors. Indeed, GA does try to debunk things that could obviously be explained by something logical, but they don't try to debunk something that is clearly paranormal. Another thing that the GA crew brings that the GH crew lacks is their energy and their love for what they are doing. It's fun to watch their reactions to the things that occur, although throughout the show, I have not seen them react the way that they do in this documentary.

I can honestly say that this is probably the best thing that the GA crew has ever done, and that's saying a LOT.
