I bought this book for my elementary library and read it before actually giving it to the library. They have strict requirements for books that Kindergarten through fourth grade can read. This book had several swear words in it. The stories were great for K-4 but the teachers didn't want to fight parents who don't approved of swear words in younger books.

My 7 year old likes anything spookie but often finds the ghost books to be a bit hokey. This collection has an authentic feel that leaves us perfectly gigly-scared when we go to bed.
