My daughter read this book five times right after my wife and I bought it for her. She loves ghost stories and she loves horses, and this was a wonderful mix of both. What a find!

this is a book level 3.1, so this would make a good read for a child reading on a 3rd grade level. It does have referrence to death and loose of your parents in an accident, so a younger sensitive child might be worried about this. I would recommend this for children 6 to 8 and not for a read-a-loud to preschoolers.

I think Ghost Horse is a great book! I love horses and think learning about ghosts is cool so I like this book a lot! The girl Emily first thinks the horsse is a dream in her backyard so she pinched herself and it hurt! She realized there was really a horse outside. So she went downstairs for a better look and she could see through that horse! A ghost horse she thought! To find out why this horse came to Emily, just make your purchase! I am certain you will love it!
