Customer Reviews

They go to some really cool places too.

I'd really like to see more programs about legitimate psychics and paranormal investigators like Ghost Hunters, John Edward and Peter Cayce.
Patricia Murphy
Some of the episodes were of such poor production they would not even load in my DVD player.
M. Kerr

Obviously one of (if not the best) reality show on TV. Plenty of action in a very interesting field. The guys and gals are great and the team of Steve and Tango work really well--sometimes adding laughs during a serious investigation--A must see for anybody even remotely interested in ghosts or life after death.

This is a fantastic show! I got hooked on it last year and rented the previous seasons. I bought season 4 and will have to purchase the rest too. I agree, the music is a little annoying...I too want to hear what they do. The other thing I didn't like is the case the DVD's come in. They are kind of hard to pop out being stacked together. It's not a normal DVD case. Love the show though. Can't wait to see more. :0

Great shows! "Ghost Hunters" is more like a comedy with Steve & Tango but "Ghost Adventures" is darker and 10 time scarier! Check it out on the Travel Channel all NEW every Friday at 9pm Eastern Time 60 min.

What Did Jesus Really Say-How Christianity Went Astray: [What To Say To A Born Again Christian Fundamentalist, But Never Had The Information] -- by Peter Cayce [2005]

I've been watching Ghost Hunters (via satellite and in the States) from almost the very beginning. I've now seen the original programs and have read the books of Jason and Grant too. I have to say that I believe that ghosts may exist, but I want some kind of evidence. Some kind of proof. These investigators -- and their paranormal investigation team -- work on the same premise. They attempt to "debunk" paranormal claims, but when they gather evidence that is hard to "debunk" or "dispute," they are left with evidence that may actually support life after death (i.e., ghost, paranormal activity).

While Ghost Hunters works with a scientific leaning by utilizing technical equipment from EMF meters / K2 meters, digital thermometers, night vision cameras and thermal sensor equipment, etc., other paranormal programs utilize spirit mediums and the like. While I do not discount psychic mediums and sensitives, their evidence is hard to prove or "debunk." Nevertheless, programs like "Paranormal State" and "Paranormal Cops" (broadcast on A&E) have their place as well. They are certainly interesting. Psychic mediums like John Edward and Chip Coffee are quite interesting. In fact, I've been watching John Edward for many years. He's gotten a bit "mushy" as of late (even for WE) -- his original program on SyFy used to display his medium abilities more readily. In short, more readings.

Writers and psychic researchers like Peter Cayce are also quite interesting.

I love the show and the spinoffs that resulted. I miss Donna and Brian.

But much of my dissatisfaction with this show is not a result of the efforts of the crew. Applause to the crew. Much rotten tomatoes and gnarly-bad vegetables on the agents and production companies that write the contracts for real people. The crew has no say over distribution. Their agent promotes a certain production contract and says, "you'll make a million dollars." He knows he will make a million dollars, too. So the crew signs.

Guess what? The crew watches with horror as their efforts are split into two parts, a few episodes each "part" and are hawked at full price each, basically doubling what you pay for a typical series of anything else. $20 per series turns into $40 slush cash avalanche and a second S-series Mercedes in the production company's garage.

I have nothing but 4-letter words for these producers and agents who push this %%%%. I love the show, but these cruddy, money-grubbing production idiots ruin our pleasure.

1-star. I will not support the extortion of these Hollywood fat-cats to get something that should cost me half as much. Hey, Hollywood, I'M ONTO YOU.
