Not bad, but...,

This review is from: Ghost Of Love/ Imaginary Girl CD Single (Audio CD)
Having really enjoyed "Ghost of Love" from the "Inland Empire" soundtrack (and the way it is featured in the film itself), I was anxious to hear "Imaginary Girl" since it also features David Lynch on vocals. I thought I had heard something about this CD having an alternate version of "Ghost of Love," but that is not the case. As great as the first song is, the second leaves a lot to be desired. It's pretty obvious why only one of these songs ended up in the movie.
Here's the deal: For about 5 more dollars you could buy the full soundtrack to "Inland Empire" that contains "Ghost of Love" along with some other excellent tracks. Or you could save about 5 dollars and download these two songs from iTunes. I wish I had just downloaded "Imaginary Girl" since I already had the soundtrack and just wanted to hear that song. The artwork is pretty cool, though, if that affects your decision. |
